67% Finished Matrius has been a pain in the ass these past few days, he won't tellwhat is bothering him and I have shoved him to the back of my mind quite a few times.

I can't remember if he has ever behaved like this before, but nothing comes to mind. I have never heard of a Wolf constantly pacing his or her Human's mind, nor have I ever heard of a Wolf that couldn't answer a question from his or her Human counterpart.

Elder Larson had noticed my mood swings and when I explained to him what was going on, he had no answers foreither.

Today is the last day that we have to go through the interrogation notes of our prisoners, every aspect of the trial is finished and it has been a lengthy process.

First, we needed to decide in which order we would proceed, then we had to decide if it would be a trial without other Packs present and when it was decided that other Packs needed to be present, we had to decide which Packs would get the invitation.

Casimir wanted Liam's Pack to be present, he wants to send out the message that the Royals will accept any Shifter as a Mate, not just for themselves, but also for their Pack members.

Mateja and Giselle had been present during those conversations and both had been quiet during the entire process. When King Damon had asked why they hadn't said a word, Mateja had turned to him and said, "Why would I have to say anything if you covered all the bases? If you had dropped the ball somewhere I would have spoken up." -Giselle had agreed with Mateja, showing us that as long as they are quiet, we are moving in the right direction, and otherwise, we might need to find a new job.

"Last but not least, the files on Dawn AKA Charlotte. Does anyone know which is her birth nyet?" I ask and I see a smirk on Morgan's face. “Letguess, neither one." "Yep." She says while popping the P. "Her birth nis Mary and she grew up here on Palace grounds." What The Fuck. Morgan has got to be kidding, no one leaves Palace grounds willingly and that means that we have a file on her at the Academy.

Morgan is holding up a file and I don't have to ask whose file it is.

"Mary was eighteen when she left the territory, she had been relentless in pursuing Damon's Father and tried to attack his fated Mate when he found her. She was ordered to never return to the Palace and never to set foot in the territory again." Morgan states.

That explains why she was screaming bloody murder when the SUV she was in got closer and closer to the border, she thought she would go through excruciating pain as she crossed the border. She was worried for nothing, with Damon's Father dead, the command he gave her was broken.

"Okay, let's get this file done and then you two can get back to planning your Introduction Ceremony." I say with a smile on my face, knowing that both of them hate the decision-making on the preparations.

We get the interrogation transcripts and edit the video we recorded during her interview. We want everyone to see that she has no remorse over the decision she made, especially when it concerns her Daughter.

At least I have a better understanding of her motives now, she was denied the life of a Queen according to her twisted mind and she hoped to get Lucas on the Throne to get the status that was once hers according to her beliefs.

It is close to dinner twhen we have everything we need, she will pay the ultimate price and so will Lucas and Jack.

Maybe Mateja will get a few more answers during the trial, but the major answers she seeks will be found when she finds her fated Mate. He is the key to unlock the memories she lost thanks to her Mother, but it might take years before she finds him.

Tomorrow night will be her first opportunity to find the key to her memories and I hope that she finds him, she deserves to remember her Father. Damon believes that holding the Full Moon party at the Academy increases her chances of finding her fated Mate. My unit has no assignment at the moment, so we spend the day in our unit house and prepare for the party. Clover has beca permanent member of my unit and she gets along with the other members, she has proven her worth to all of us.

I haven't looked forward to a Full Moon as much as this one, I hope that I am lucky enough to find my fated Mate and I hope the sfor Mateja.

We gather in the dining room of the main building, just like on the night that Morgan and Jaylen found one another.

An extra table has been placed near the stage and my jaw drops when my eyes lock with Mateja's eyes. Dike she said she would, she cut her hair. I can't tell the exact length because she has it in a high braid, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would say past her shoulders. She is wearing a burgundy suit, but I can't see if the suit has a skirt or pants. I cannot see the type of shoes she is wearing, but she seems comfortable in her outfit.

At the table, the last Full Moon celebration here gets discussed, most of my unit members weren't here, and most hope to find their fated Mate tonight.

We stay seated after the table is cleared and the conversation is light and amicable. No mention of the trial, no mention of the prisoners or the presence of the Royals.

My eyes lock on the clock above the doorway and I watch as the clock-hands slowly move towards midnight foo slowly to my taste, but there is nothing I can do about that, tpasses as tpasses, and it won't hurry up just because I want it to. 3.3K
