Dylan POV
| ended up waking with a loud gasp, my breath cout in panicked pants and my body shot up allowing my
head to dart around the room trying to make sure | was back at the lake, only | was met with the interior of the
medical tent. A constant rhythmic beep was going off, but in my panic it seemed to increase in speed.
Next to me, sat on a chair was Lewis. His head rested on the bed in slumber but his hand was on mine, holding it
loosely. Why | had been bought back to the hospital like area was beyondbut at least | was no longer in that

My eyes uncontrollably streamed with water, and my breath was uneven, i had no idea why | was giving off this

“I'm not ok... I'm not ok...” | shook my head and sobbed into his shoulder. For sreason, | was finally ok with
letting my true feelings out around Lewis, | wasn't ok, and he deserved to know that, hell | wanted him to know

more trapped than | did when | was with Josh. | couldn’t for the life ofbelieve what had actually happened.
The moon goddess was completely fucked up if she thought | would just roll over and accept the life that she

“Hey, hey. You need to calm down, you are going to make yourself sick.” He pushedaway from him slightly
and held my face in his hands, wiping my eyes gently with his thumbs as he did so. “Deep breaths for me!” He
showedhow to breathe because in that moment | had genuinely forgotten how, my mind focussed on one
thing only, and that was what | was expected to do. “That's it. Long breaths, con Dyl.”
Wait... had something been done? | didn’t feel any different at all, | felt the exact sas | was from before |
encountered the goddess, but | had to be sure. So instead of thinking and acting like a sane person, | shot up out
of bed, breaking the contact betweenand Lewis in order to find a mirror.
“Do | look different?” | frantically asked while fumbling around trying to find something, trying to find anything,
before realizing there wasn’t many reflective surfaces around. “Lewis... do | look any different?!” | practically
screamed it at him the second tas my desperation for normality intensified. | needed an answer, but instead
he simply stared at me, his mouth opening and closing like a fish at my erratic behavior. “Geta mirror... for «
