He was right. Perhaps she was testing me. After all, the moon goddess was a well known all seeing benevolent,
perhaps she was testingon whether or not | would opt for the easy option or the difficult one.
“Also, | don’t intend to defy her entirely, | just refuse to beca wolf. If she wantsas an envoy then so be it,
| can be a human one.” | had already accepted Lewis as my person, and he was a wolf, but becoming one was
simply off the table. “Besides, there's already a wolf who is very capable of holding his own against King Josh,
and | strongly believe him to be an extraordinary Lycan.” | turned to Lewis and smiled, taking his other hand into
mine and holding both in an
embrace that spoke more volthan my words. “You, Lewis, are the only one who has taken the king on, and
won. You got away from him and | think if we stay together then we can defeat him together.”

“That isn’t what the goddess Luna desires.” | didn’t care. The goddess didn’t know everything, and I really did
strongly believe that we could win, | just sort of knew that only Lewis would be left standing at the end.

with you abilities at every turn. She toldthat you and the king are evenly matched. You are our unintended,
and unexpected weapon. You said | could use you, right, for whatever | needed? Well what | need is this, what |
need is for you to becmy blade.” He nodded his head, and looked at me, nothing but adoration swam in his
orbs and | couldn't help but release a small smile, | would never get enough of his gaze on mine.
