Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

They did not soften their voice throughout the discussion, so one could hear them crystal-clear. Due to Emma’s

arrangement, such discussion became a hot topic in the parlor.

Standing somewhere on the third floor, Ethan could hear the discussion loud and clear. Most of the words were

from the loquacious women, but a few gabby men joined soon after.

“If she hadn’t been disfigured, I can still bear a marriage with her. Too bad there’s a huge scar on her face. It’s

scary and hideous. I will never take her as my wife.”

“I heard that Old Mr. Woland will choose a husband for her today.”

Ethan narrowed his eyes, after which the door to the second-floor parlor opened. Everyone cast their gaze in that

direction and watched Alice enter the place. The distance and lighting rendered the scar on her face obscure. The

gushing voices were drowned by silence as most of the men’s eyes twinkled in astonishment and admiration. It was

true that men were easily captivated by pretty looks.

“What the? Miss Woland is hot! Why didn’t I notice earlier?” Irvin, who was on the third floor, almost whistled due to

the surprise.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed dangerously and icily. What is she all dressed up prettily for?

“Miss Woland has a great body. I wonder if it’s fake. Maybe her chest—”

“I can guarantee that she didn’t go for surgery. I swear it on my name,” a philanderer exclaimed. He was an

experienced man, hence the right of speech for that topic.

“Forget about that. Look at her skin! It’s flawless and fair. I bet it’s squishy to touch them.”

“Miss Woland is committing a crime by wearing that dress. She slays in it.”

“She’s a looker. Even if there’s a scar, it’s not that obvious. She looks like a celebrity.”

“She was such a true beauty before the accident that no one could forget how gorgeous she was. She must have

been the Venus rising from the sea.”

“If only the accident hadn’t happened. And with that body? It would’ve made me guilty just from looking at her.”

“But still, it won’t be bad to sleep with her one night. I mean, her body’s hot.”

Despite the low voice, those people happened to be below the place where Ethan was standing. The words seeped

into his ears without fail, and his expression turned grim by second.

Sensing the strange twist of atmosphere, Irvin met Ethan’s eyes. “Ethan, what’s wrong? You look like you could

murder someone.” His gaze was so scary that Irvin inhaled a sharp breath.

“Miss Woland has good fashion taste! She picked the right outfit to stand out. Look at those guys. All eyes are on

her. To be honest, her body made up for her looks, especially from a man’s point of view.”

“I heard that Old Mr. Woland will pick a husband for her. I didn’t believe it, but I take that back now.”

“Is that so? I don’t think it’ll be difficult to pick one. She’s gorgeous.”

“What? Old Mr. Woland is going to pick a husband for Alice? Ethan, aren’t you guys married? Can she marry

another guy?” Irvin lost a screw in his head for asking such an idiotic question. No, he was blatantly asking for a

punch!

“What do you think?” Ethan coldly glanced at him before paying attention to the beautifully dressed Alice.

Does she know that Old Mr. Woland is choosing a husband for her today? She didn’t dress up for the wedding like

she does right now. Just what is she thinking? She went out in a simple dress but changed into another outfit and

put on makeup after coming here. What is she trying to do?

Alice did not expect someone to usher her as soon as she arrived at the hotel. Under Charles’ order, she was

escorted to a room for makeup and outfit change.

Charles insisted on it.

She checked the clothing and cosmetics, and there was no problem with them. She accepted the offer to learn

what was going on, so that was how things escalated to this point.

Meanwhile, Irvin was aware that Ethan had reasons to marry Alice. He would never allow any other men to covet

her before the divorce. Thus, Charles’ plan of picking a future husband for her was bound to fail.

Judging from Ethan’s reaction, will he turn today’s blind meeting into chaos?

Emma’s eyes almost went red due to jealousy toward Alice, especially the way every man watched her. She could

murder someone in a fit of pique!

Her plan had been a fiasco. She purposely told the guests to throw shades at Alice, sneering at her as an ugly

woman no one wanted. Yet, Alice’s arrival turned the rumors into ungrounded, empty words.

Not only that, everyone was captivated by Alice. Most of the men could not take their eyes off her. Emma could

never tolerate someone stealing the spotlight because she was the only one who deserved it.

How could a mere idiot good-for-nothing steal the limelight from me?

Seizing the right timing, Emma and a waiter walked to a corner by the staircase. The gentleness in her voice gave

way to frightening malice. “Are the things ready?”

“Y-Yeah.” The waiter was slightly afraid.

“Alice is allergic to alcohol, so she can’t take drinks. You can add it to a glass of Coke for her.” Emma had thought of

everything.

“What if she doesn’t drink it?” asked the waiter.

“Find the chance to lure her outside and force her to take it at all cost.” The echo of those malicious words sounded

frightening in the hallway.

Since her previous plan was a failure, there was no room for mistakes in this step.
