Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

Lyra was taken aback and sighed softly. She felt that Alice was too naive and soft; it was like she was

asking to be bullied. Anyway, she had said what she could. There was nothing else she could do if

Alice didn’t pick up on her hint.

“How could the cunning Mrs. Yeager make such a careless mistake?” Caleb, who was watching from

above, suddenly realized something was off.

“Mrs. Yeager did all this just to frame Miss Woland. She must have replicated the scar based on the

one on Miss Woland’s face. But why is it different? Considering Mrs. Yeager’s craftiness, she would not

have made such an amateur mistake. Unless…” Caleb paused mid-sentence as he took his time

thinking about this matter.

“Did Miss Woland see through Mrs. Yeager’s scheme from the start and use it against her? But Miss

Woland is so naive and pure…”

Naive? Pure? Ethan recalled the woman that cuffed him onto the bed. Even though he did let his guard

down a little that day, her speed, boldness, reflexes, and how she seduced him suggested the cunning

little fox she actually was.

If Alice was that person the other day, she was no simple woman.

“Mr. Knight, do you think it would be Miss Woland? If it was her, how did she manage to deceive a

shrewd woman like Mrs. Yeager? She couldn’t have magically transformed the scar on her face, right?”

This was the part that Caleb couldn’t figure out.

Ethan’s eyes flickered, and the corner of his lips curled into a smirk. It seemed like there were many

secrets to uncover about Alice!

He was looking forward to it.

“Finish the wedding first and put a stamp on it. Then, after we’ve gotten our hands on the Woland

Group, we can find a time to eliminate Alice. As long as she’s in our hands, we have all it takes to deal

with her.” Thomas looked grim. He knew he couldn’t let things continue to spiral because it would only

tarnish the Yeager Family’s reputation if this dragged on.

Since the plan failed and Alice was not taking the blame, then the wedding could only continue.

Right now, he only wanted to wrap this up and sweep this thing under the carpet. But, then, use the

marriage to get rid of Alice in the future.

It was fine to marry her because it wouldn’t harm the Yeager Family. Bruce was a man. So, this

wouldn’t affect his image negatively. On the contrary, it might even help the Yeager Family’s reputation.

As for Alice, they would just find an opportunity to dispose of her since getting rid of a fool like her

wasn’t difficult.

Naomi could not believe it. She would not accept such a failure. Alas, there wasn’t anything else she

could do now. So, she wore a plastic smile and gritted her teeth as she hissed, “Alice, I’m also

incensed at what happened today.”

She wasn’t lying about this. On the contrary, she was genuinely furious at the moment, although not for

the right reasons.

“I don’t know who did this, Alice. I’ve watched you grow up, and I believe you. I will get to the bottom of

this and give you the justice you deserve. Don’t worry. The wedding between you and Bruce is the

most important thing today. We can’t let this ridiculousness stop it from happening.”

Naomi was at a loss. She had everything planned out. So how did it end up like this?

Alice was known to be empty-headed and was as meek as a lamb. It was a trap she could not have

escaped from. So how on Earth did her plan fail?

She gave up so much to the Wolands in exchange for the horrid birthmark on Alice’s face.

Nevertheless, it definitely didn’t prove to be useful, as she had escaped unscathed.

What even is this luck that Alice had? Naomi thought to herself.

As for Lyra’s threatening words, Naomi didn’t care about it in the slightest. Even though her plan had

failed, it was arranged well. Lyra alone would not be able to cause any trouble as the Yeager Family

had what it took to settle this small matter easily.

Alice sneered. Yes. Mrs. Yeager and the Yeager Family might not be afraid now, but that can’t be said

for what might happen next since my plan had not even started.

She was never one to do useless work. But, in contrast, everything that she did had its use.

When the time came, she would get back at them for everything they did; the Yeager Family, the

Woland Family, and Chief Cooper.

She would like to see how tall Naomi could stand then.

“Alice, you’ve loved Bruce so much and always wanted to marry him. Let’s just continue with the

wedding first.” Naomi was still smiling, but she was so angry and frustrated that she felt choked by her

fury.

It was a great disgrace that her excellent son had to marry such a dumb and ugly idiot like Alice. She

would definitely not let Alice off the hook after today.

Alice gazed at Naomi calmly. She didn’t show signs of objection at all.

She really didn’t have any qualms about it as long as they could continue the wedding!

Naomi’s opening performance was now out of the way, and now it was time for the actual performance.

As the saying goes, ‘ The show must go on’.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that what she would do next would definitely cause a typhoon within

the Yeager Family.

She wondered if the Yeagers could handle that.

When Naomi saw no objections from Alice, she didn’t even show the slightest dissatisfaction. Even

though she was thoroughly ridiculing Alice for being foolish in her heart, if she wanted to get her hands

on the Woland Group, she could only push on with the wedding. “Alright. Alright. Everything’s fine now.

We’ll continue with the wedding.”

Bruce felt like he had swallowed a fly as his face showed his apparent disgust.

“Isn’t this Alice too dumb and naive? Is that brain of hers just for decoration? Why isn’t she thinking

about why this could happen during the wedding? Why does she still want to marry Bruce? How could

she let things get this far?”

“How could she not get married? After her parents died seven years ago, she declared her intention to

hand over the Woland Group to the Yeagers. Her actions angered everyone in the Woland Family.

None of them came to the wedding today. She threw everything out the window just to marry Bruce.

The wedding would have worked out either way.”

“God. I don’t even know what she’s thinking.”

“The Yeagers are also going too far by taking advantage of an orphan and taking over her company.

Lyra just stood up and stormed out.

Ethan kept staring at Alice with his dark eyes.
