Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

It was the persona where there was pride and self-esteem, but there was an eagerness in her eyes that wanted to

take advantage of an influential man.

The image of the weak young man was vividly portrayed to the fullest.

Irvin frowned. He truly looked down on bootlickers that pretended to be noble. He had seen one too many people

like that.

Meanwhile, Ethan glanced at the business card Alice handed over. “Bryce Parker?”

He then looked at Alice’s face. At a glance, there was no trace of femininity on her face.

Ethan’s cold and sullen gaze made one shiver. “Mr. Parker, what floor were you on?”

Alice answered without the slightest hesitation or reluctance, “The second floor.”

Without batting an eyelid, Ethan pressed, “What kind of business was done?”

To her credit, Alice continued to answer quickly and naturally, “I consulted about the house transfer.”

“Which counter?” Ethan’s questions were quicker and sharper each time as he tried to corner Alice.

If it wasn’t for the wrong occasion, Alice would praise him for being a master of interrogation.

However, it wasn’t a pretty sight when she was interrogated, but she had no choice but to answer, “Number five.”

“Caleb, go to counter number five on the second floor to verify his claim.” Only then did Ethan move his gaze away

from Alice.

Truth was, Ethan didn’t find anything unusual in her answer, but he wanted to check it out.

On the other hand, Alice was really shocked.

What the f*ck?! Is Mr. Knight human?! Does he have to be so desperate? Does he have to be so mean? He doesn’t

leave any room or way for me to survive! I must say that he is so cautious that it is frightening!

However, Alice didn’t know that this was Ethan’s way of doing his job.

Still, Ethan was even more strict on any matter regarding Alice.

He was bluffing when he first shouted at her to stop.

Ethan didn’t stop Alice but instead, he let her walk past to see if he could spot any fault in her retreating figure.

However, from the back, there was no figure that he managed to see. The figure was not visible because of the

loose coat.

Even so, he wouldn’t let anyone go quickly.

Soon, Caleb’s call came through. “Mr. Knight, I’ve already asked; the staff at counter five said that a man did come

to inquire about the house transfer earlier. As the staff was too busy, he didn’t pay too much attention to the man’s

look, only that he was wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses.”

Before Ethan could say anything, a noble lady in her forties entered the lobby at that exact moment.

The lady walked to Alice and Ethan. She first looked at Ethan and Irvin, then smiled politely. “Mr. Knight, Mr. Thorne,

it’s my pleasure to meet you here.”

Then, she pointed at Alice. “He is one of mine. He is not sensible; please forgive him.”

Afterward, she turned to Alice, who was dressed as a man, with a slight dissatisfaction on her face. “I promised you

I would give you that villa, but you still rushed over here to inquire about it? What are you doing? Don’t you believe

me? You are with me, so I would never mistreat you. C’mon, don’t embarrass yourself here. I have a game tonight,

and you’ll accompany me there. Quickly now!”

Irvin was stunned.

Hmph! I knew he was just a weak young man! Also, he’s one of Miss Freeman’s!

Aurelie Freeman was infamous in Rodcaster. Her father was considered a well-known big shot in Rodcaster, who

used to engage in some questionable pursuits, but now it was all cleared up.

She was married twice, but both husbands died young. Some said they were caught cheating, so Aurelie killed

them.

Since then, Aurelie did not marry again, instead getting young men here and there.

She openly and unscrupulously got these young men for herself, and everyone knew about it.

The Freemans, Knights, and Thornes were business partners, so Aurelie, Irvin, and Ethan were all acquaintances.

“Mr. Knight, Mr. Thorne, I’ll take him with me. I won’t bother you any further.”

“All right, Miss Freeman.” As their families were partners, Irvin had to respect her, not to mention that he never

understood why Ethan was fixated on a man.

It was a woman who wrote the plan, a genuine woman! It’s too much for Ethan being over the top for a man!

Ethan, too, didn’t stop Aurelie. He stared at Alice’s back, who was now following Aurelie out of there.

At that moment, the retreating figure was not half as flamboyant and domineering as he remembered. Instead, it

was submissive and obsequious.

Ethan’s gaze grew colder.

Alice finally followed Aurelie out of the lobby.

At that moment, the elevator door opened, and Caleb walked out with a pair of ladies’ high heels and a ladies’ bag

in both hands. “Mr. Knight, I found these in a trash can.”

Caleb’s spirit animal must be a dog, as he was so accurate and fast in finding things.

“It’s hers.” Irvin identified the owner at first glance. “Did she have a huge makeover? She threw her shoes and bag

away.”

Ethan’s expression changed as he turned around to head out in pursuit.

If it is a huge makeover, she can disguise herself as anyone, including a man!

At this moment, Alice followed Aurelie to the car, which was in the courtyard.

Although Alice had managed to leave the lobby, she didn’t dare let down her guard. Even though she had never

seen Ethan and only heard of him, she still understood his abilities.

As Aurelie was bossy, she parked right in front of the main entrance. Hence, Alice could still clearly see the lobby

after getting into the car.
