Scarlett smiled. Just then, her food was served. She opened her napkin and was about to eat.
Raymond and Alexander hadn't asked her permission to take the seats at her table anyway, so it was no big deal for her to eat her food first.
"My food is served, Mr. Smith, Mr. Shaw, I'll eat first." Scarlett then gracefully picked up her knife and fork and began to slowly cut the steak and eat in small bites.
Raymond had not had meals with Scarlett more than a few times. He used to think Scarlett just had a pretty face.
However, watching her cut the steak and put it in her mouth in no hurry, Raymond found her to be an elegant lady of graceful manners.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRaymond and Alexander just sat there and watched her eating her food, and she did so with aplomb and without a hint of embarrassment.
Few people could dine so calmly under the watchful eyes of others.
Raymond remembered the other night he saw Scarlett, she looked like a goddess, and he was totally captivated by her.
Suddenly Raymond realized that Scarlett seemed to b e his type.
He liked everything about her. And he was already fascinated with her.
Sensing that Raymond was looking at her, Scarlett looked up at him. She frowned slightly and asked, "Mr. Shaw, are you hungry?" At the stime, Alexander noticed that Raymond was lost in thought. When did this guy ever fasten his eyes on a woman like this, as if he was not worried about being found out by her? Alexander tugged at Raymond's elbow, and Raymond gave him a sideways glance. And then he regained his senses and answered, "Yes, I'm feeling hungry." The expression on his face didn't change a bit, as if he was really hungry so he was staring at her and her food in a trance.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow. She didn't say anything else.
Anyway, anything the man said wouldn't please her. She wouldn't bother with him.
Alexander, who was sitting there watching the two, sighed in silence, "No one could compare to Raymond i n terms of shamelessness!" At the time, Raymond and Alexander's food was served.
Alexander though seemed to be a careless guy, he was good at tasting food.
He generously placed his food in the middle of the table and introduced it to Scarlett, "Ms. Reed, try this one! This caviar was imported from Japan by air!" Scarlett took a glance at it. The caviar was hundreds o f dollars a spoonful. It was really worth the transportation.
She smiled and politely declined, "Thanks, but | ordered enough." Being rejected by Scarlett, Alexander smiled awkwardly but politely, "OK, then, I'll take you to taste something else next time!" Raymond frowned and cast a cold glance at Alexander.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAlexander was baffled.'???" Just then, Raymond, who had accidentally applied too much mustard on his salmon, choked and his face turned red.
Scarlett took a sip of wine. She laughed at Raymond's miserable look. Just as she was having fun, the glass i n her hand was grabbed away by the man sitting across the table.
She watched Raymond take her glass and swig her wine. Apparently, Alexander also noticed Raymond's move.
Instantly, Alexander felt that the caviar in his mouth was tasteless.
Why the hell was he sitting here? The smile on Scarlett's face faded. "Mr. Shaw, do you think it's appropriate?" "The wasabi is too strong." Anger was obvious in Scarlett's tone. However, Raymond's tone was indifferent.
Scarlett compressed her lips for a moment. She beckoned to the waiter not far away, "Another glass for me, please." Raymond glanced toward her, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly.
It was rare to see her exasperated.
