"What are you thinking about?" Raymond asked.
Then Scarlett snapped back to her senses. She collected her thoughts and smiled at Raymond, "I just remembered when | used to go to play billiards with Alexis and Justin." Tflew. It had been more than a decade. All three of them had accomplished something. They had all made sachievements.
Raymond waved his cue, "When did you learn to play billiards ?" "In middle school." Raymond looked at her, tenderness in his eyes, "Baby, you must be a good player.” Now in the billiards room, it was just the two of them. But it was a public place after all. Scarlett blushed when she heard Raymond call her "baby" all of a sudden.
But she kept her composure. She looked at Raymond and smiled, "I'm just OK." "Then let's play a game!” Scarlett stared at him and narrowed her eyes. "How about we have a bet?" "Sure." "What's the bet?" "If I lose, I'll take you hafter dinner.
But if you lose, we'll go pick up your grandpa together tomorrow." Scarlett exclaimed, "You've got a lot of nerve." He was blatantly tempting her on the Tank family's turf. Wasn't he afraid that her grandfather would skin him tomorrow? "Life needs a little bit of adventure." Raymond added after a pause, "The bed in the hotel was uncomfortable. | didn't sleep well last night. If | have you in my arms tonight, | will sleep well." Scarlett looked down at the colorful balls on the table and curled up the corners of her lips, "Sure." He couldn’t win anyway.
Alexis was a terrible billiards player, which made Scarlett look too good! The grownups at the next tables used to watch them play billiards, and occasionally they would play with Scarlett.
