At three o'clock in the afternoon, the car arrived at the entrance of Wakiza Prison.
Since cars were forbidden to go in, Scarlett got off and walked in.
It had been just a few months since Ryker was thrown into prison. He looked much thinner, and his eyes were filled with hatred.

The handcuffs didn't make it difficult for him to pound the table and laugh at all.
Scarlett smiled at him and said after Ryker stopped laughing, "Mr. Shaw, you're well-informed, aren't you?" Scarlett was implying something. Albeit complacent, Ryker didn't dare to flaunt his privilege since two jailers were standing in this four- or five-square-meter cell.
He snorted, "Ms. Reed, | heard that you liked him very much. It turns out to be just a rumor. You don't look sad at all." Scarlett chuckled and said, "Why should I? Raymond is fine." Ryker froze, but he was not convinced. " Scarlett, at such a point, you're still fooling yourself. Raymond is dead.
His car plunged into the river on a cold winter night. His body was not found because the fish ate it." "Mr. Shaw, | have nothing to say if you don't believe me." Scarlett got straight to the point, saying," Here | am. What's the deal, Mr. Shaw?" Ryker lay back, crossed his legs, and crowed, "Nothing in particular. Scarlett, | just regard you as a talented person. It's a shthat your vision is poor at a young age. Both of my two sons are better than Raymond. If you were my daughter-in-law, the Shaw family would have been the richest in Juanton City!" Scarlett lowered her head, laughed behind her hand, and said, "No regret! The Shaw family is the richest in Juanton City." Scarlett looked up at Ryker and continued," Unfortunately, it's not your family." "You don't know what is good for you! Forget it, | won't wrestle with a young woman! I'm going abroad in a couple of days. I'm afraid it won't be easy for you to seeby then." Ryker's eyes flashed with excitement as he thought of his freedom overseas.
Scarlett looked at him and said, "Yeah, | don't know how many years you'll live with terminal lung cancer! Mr.
Shaw, your luck isn't so good. The disease may attack you as soon as you get out, who knows?" "How dare you jinx me!" Scarlett shrugged and countered, "If you take it that way, | have nothing to say. | was just trying to remind you of the possibility." Ryker's face turned livid. The medical parole was true, and so was his terminal lung cancer.
But Ryker believed in advanced healthcare overseas. He believed that he could live another five or six years as long as he went abroad for treatment.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWhen people got older, they tended to be afraid of death. Ryker was no exception. Then again, if he could get Tenton back before the end of his life, death was not that scary.
Getting Tenton back had been his lifetgoal.
When Raymond's father was alive, he didn't dare to make a move. After the old man passed away, he was no match for Raymond.
Now even Raymond was dead. He didn’t believe that Scarlett stood a chance! "If this is what you want to tell me, | hear you. Have a good tin jail, Mr. Shaw." Scarlett was smiling, but her words were biting.
Ryker almost had high blood pressure. At the sight of his flushed face, Scarlett added with a smile, "Easy, hypertension may kill you before you have a chance to treat your lung cancer abroad." Scarlett’s words got under Ryker's skin. He clenched his cuffed fists so tightly till the veins bulged horribly on the back of his hands.
"Don't get cocky, Scarlett. Take good care of Tenton cuz you don't have many days left working there." Scarlett stood up, looked Ryker in the eye, and said, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Shaw. Tenton is in good hands. Oh, by the way, there is something | forgot to tell you." "About those things you did with Abraham, I've got the account books. Go ahead with your medical parole as you like. If you cback, | don't mind helping you renew your free nursing plans." "How dare you..." Ryker gritted his teeth but knew that he shouldn't lose his temper.
If his blood pressure rose with anger, he might really die before he could have his medical parole.
He would not let anger kill him!
