Chapter 5 Tears of vengeance

Lauren smirked and brought down the phone from her ear.

"Now, it's finally over. We've finally cleared off the Anderson's family and that bastard in her womb.."

She thought and laughed out.

"I already have a hard time tolerating the father of that child, what more the child?" She said and smiled

more widely.

"All thanks to the special spy I sent to spy on them. If not for him, I wouldn't have known that stupid girl

is pregnant. I'm glad I got rid of the mother and baby. Now all the next thing is to make sure all the

wealth of the Madison's go to my kids.." She said and laughed again.

"I'm sure James will be happy to know I got rid of them.." She laughed mischievously and fell on the

bed, still laughing.

It was a shock to the city that Reporter Matilda and her daughter were dead. They couldn't save either

of them, they only found one dead body in the fire after it had quenched. But however, it was still

concluded that they were both dead. The public was made to believe that it was an accident. People

couldn't help but mourn the family who passed away tragically.

Jason, on the other hand was back to his old self. Coldhearted and rude. When he heard that Asanel

passed away, he mourned her.

A Month Later.

She groaned and gripped the sheets tightly as memories flashed in her head.

"Lady red, lady red.."

"I think she's awake now.." A voice called and she walked into the room immediately.

"How's she?" Lady red asked the nurse.

"She slowly regaining her consciousness.." The nurse answered.

"And her baby?" Lady red asked and the nurse sighed.

"We still can't hear the heartbeat.."

Lady red nodded and looked at her. She was about to walk away when Asanel snapped her eyes open.

She looked around and discovered that the place was not familiar. Then she tried to seat up but as she

did, she felt pains in her waist and she lay down back.

"Where am I?" She asked and when she felt her face aching. She touched it but discovered it was

bandaged.

Then she remembered everything that happened. The fire!

Asanel sat up immediately even if the pains were stopping her.

"Where am I? Where's my mum?" She took her eyes to lady red.

"Who are you and please, where's my mum?' Asanel asked and Lady red sighed.

"I'm sorry Asanel but your mum didn't make it. She died even before the house was burnt down. Don't

you remember, a plank that fire fell on her?" Lady red said and Asanel's eyes widened as the memories

began to rush in.

FLASHBACK.

Maltida woke up and was shocked to see smoke everywhere.

"What's happening?" She thought and looked at her sleeping daughter. Then she yanked the duvet off

her body and st

ood up. She walked into the living room and was shocked to see that everywhere was on fire.

"Asanel! Anel! Wake up!" Matilda yelled and Anel groaned and opened her eyes but she started

coughing immediately.

"Mum, why's there anyone everywhere?" Asanel asked and got up from the bed. Matilda ran towards

her immediately.

"We need to get out of here immediately. Anel, we need to leave. We have to protect your baby at all

costs.." Matilda told her and Asanel nodded, frightened.

They took a thick blanket and wrapped their bodies with it.

"Let's go.." Asanel nodded and started walked away, suddenly a plank of fire fell beside her and she

gasped.

"Keep moving, Anel.." She heard Matilda's voice behind her and she turned.

"Mum.." She was about to talk but Maltida's eyes widened when she saw that another plank of fire was

about to fall on her. She immediately rushed towards her and pushed her off.

As Asanel landed on the ground, Maltida fell and the plank of fire fell on her stomach.

"Mum!" Asanel screamed in tears.

"An..el, get..get going. You have to pro..text your baby.." Maltida said and coughed out blood.

"No, mum. I can't leave you here, I can't.." She was talking when another plank fell on her legs and

Matilda groaned.

"You have to make it Anel, for your baby and for us. Avenge us, Anel!" Matilda said and gave up.

"Aaargh!"

"Mum, don't leave me.." She cried but then she stood up and touched her stomach.

"I'll protect you baby, I promise.." She said and ram off. As she was running, she fell and lost

consciousness. Then a small plank of fire fell on her face.

And just as it did, two young men in suits came in and then helped removed the plank but her face was

already burnt badly. Then one of them carried her out.

FLASHBACK ENDS.

Asanel cried out in pain.

"Mum, mum.." She wailed like a baby.

"Asanel, you should stop crying.." Lady red said.

"But what caused the fire? Everything was okay and it just happened.."

"It was planned, Asanel.."

Asanel stopped crying immediately she heard it.

"Who planned it?" Asanel asked.

"You should know the enemy you have.." Lady red answered back.

"The Madison's! The Madison's!" She yelled out in anger, tears running down her fear and she

clenched her fists.

"What about my baby?" Asanel asked Lady red who sighed.

"We still couldn't hear your baby's heartbeat.." The nurse said and tears ran down Asanel's face.

"Just wait, you all. Enjoy while it lasts but I promise, I promise you all. You will pay for everything you

did to me. You will regret ruining my family! I will make sure to destroy you! I will destroy all the

Madison's!" She yelled again.
