Chapter 1572
Gilbert stopped his car in front of Vicky's apartment.
Before she got out of the car, she said to him, "Thanks for the ride, and I'm sorry for what happened today. I was
supposed to buy you a meal, but I troubled you to give me a ride home instead."
"Oh, nonsense. It was no trouble at all. A friend of Aurora is also a friend of mine, so don't worry about it," Gilbert
said with a smile.

"Well, thanks again. In any case, I still owe you a meal," said Vicky.
"Haha! I'll keep that in mind."
After saying goodbye to Gilbert, Vicky went up to her apartment. She was no longer staying at the same apartment
she did four years ago. She moved to a bigger unit since it would be easier for her to host her friends with the
added space.
While opening her door, she thought about how to get the video from Avery. She did not know how Avery got the
video, but she must get it off her as she did not want to be blackmailed forever.
After changing into her indoor slippers and turning on the light, she went to take a shower. Aurora had gone back to
her own home a few days ago, so being the only person in the house, Vicky only put on a bathrobe after she
finished taking the bath.
Suddenly, she heard a weird noise coming from one of the rooms. She stopped drying her hair and called out
softly," Aurora? Is that you?"
Sometimes, when Aurora had nothing better to do, she would let herself into Vicky's place using the passcode she
was given. Still, she would always inform Vicky beforehand.
"Maybe she texted me while I was in the shower...' thought Vicky. Suddenly, she heard a big commotion coming

Vicky slowly pushed over her bedroom door and saw a person she knew standing quietly in her bedroom.
"What... What are you doing here?!" gasped Vicky.
She rubbed her eyes, thinking she was either dreaming or hallucinating.
The person glanced at her. "Where did you go? How come you're home later than me?"
Vicky did not bother to answer his question. She looked at him blankly and asked, "Tyler, why... Why are you here?"
"I just felt like coming," he said indifferently.
'What?' Vicky finally snapped out of her shock. She looked at him warily, asking, "How did you get in?"
"From the door, of course."
