"You stayed up until this time just to talk to me about this?'

Vicky nodded, her expression determined. "It's better to make things clear sooner or later."

Tyler's expression grew even colder.

"You don't have to answer me in a hurry. Take your time to think it over, and then give me your response," Vicky

added.

She stood up. "It's getting late. I'll rest now."

The following day, after a night of contemplation, Tyler eventually agreed to her proposal. "I accept your terms, but

with a modification," he said indifferently. "You'll stay here until you give birth, and I need to ensure the safety of the

child's birth."

Given Tyler's domineering personality, he might not trust her outside of his watchful eyes. Furthermore, she could

sense that this was the last line of compromise she could reach.

Vicky agreed. "Fine, but I need corresponding freedom. You cant keep me confined in the villa all the time."

Tyler instinctively wanted to refuse, but when he caught a glimpse of the pale look on her face, he could not bring

himself to do it.

Bad moods were detrimental to both the mother and the baby. Especially for Vicky, who never liked being confined.

He pursed his lips. "Jade will be with you to ensure your safety."

Vicky knew that Tyler had reluctantly agreed and decided to compromise. "Alright."

The two of them finally reached a preliminary agreement.

The baby's room was still under renovation. During her pregnancy, Vicky disliked the noise, so she could not wait to

go outside once she had some freedom. Tyler did not say anything about it.

Vicky went upstairs to change her clothes and then called Aurora. "Aurora, are you free today?"

"Yes," Aurora replied without hesitation. "Vicky, can you go out now?"

"Yeah," Vicky said. "I talked to him and reached an agreement. I'll give birth to the baby, and he'll grant me

freedom."

"He agreed to that?"

"He did."

Aurora sighed in relief. "That's great. If you really insisted on terminating the pregnancy, given how unpredictable

he is, I wouldn't put it past him to drag you down with him."

After arranging to meet Aurora at a coffee shop, Vicky went downstairs.

She had agreed that Jade would accompany her to ensure her safety in her daily life. However, when more than 10

minutes had passed and she still had not seen Jade, she sat down on the couch.

Jade was nowhere to be found, even after a while.

Vicky looked at Tyler, who was standing nearby. "Where's Jade?"

Tyler put down the financial magazine he was reading. "Do you need something from her?"

"Aren't you sending her to ensure my safety? I'm going out now. Shouldn't she be here?"

"She's not coming."

Vicky was rather surprised.

Just as she wondered if Tyler was finally going to give her complete freedom, he said, "I will accompany you.”
