Camila pushed open the courtyard gate, and the house did seem like it had been vacant for a long time. However,
the yard was clean, indicating that regular maintenance had been taking place.
Yet, as Maisie stepped inside, she suddenly felt a chill. She shivered and stopped in her tracks.
"What's wrong?" Camila turned to look at her, smiling. "Oh, this place happens to be a wind tunnel.
There's a mountain breeze here. Let's go inside and it'll be fine!"
Maisie nodded, but the further she went, the more familiar these surroundings seemed...
The Eropah-style pastoral courtyard was adorned with beautiful orchids. Behind the house was a mountain, and the
quietness allowed the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves to be heard.

Breathing became difficult for Maisie, and her temples throbbed. She recalled that strange dream more vividly now.
It felt increasingly like she had stepped into that dream...
"Ah—" After standing in the house for a while, Maisie suddenly felt a headache. She covered her ears and screamed
while crouching on the floor.
"Maisie, what's wrong?"
"Don't come over!"
"Maisie..."
Camila tried to help her, but Maisie shoved her aside. It felt like a myriad of insects were gnawing at her —every
nerve, bone, and blood vessel in her body was torn apart from the pain.
"Maisie, are you okay?" Waiting for her to calm down, Camila gently helped her up.
Maisie's face was pale, and she was trembling. Her large eyes were full of terror.
Camila, however, had a strange smile on her face, even though she appeared concerned.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Camila pretended to care, taking off her coat and draping it over Maisie. "Is it... too cold in
this house?"
"I... I want to leave this place..." Maisie couldn't even muster the strength to speak. "Please take me away from
here... Please..."
"Okay, don't worry! We'll leave right away." Despite what Camila said, her steps were unusually slow as she
supported Maisie.
Maisie's legs felt weak, and every step felt like walking in a swamp filled with the fuzzy scenes in her memory.

Camila escorted her back to the hotel and called Daniel.
When Daniel arrived, Maisie had already fallen asleep, surrounded by several doctors.
"Mr. Quimby, rest assured. Ms. Squire is fine, she's just exhausted. Let her rest. It'll be good for her health."
Daniel's voice was deep and anxious. "Are you sure she's okay?"
"Absolutely."
"Then what happened to her today?!" Daniel exclaimed in a low growl.
Camila signaled to the doctors, prompting them all to leave. She met Daniel's icy gaze. The room was eerily quiet,
and the man in front of her seemed like a volcano on the verge of erupting.
Camila remained calm as she walked up to him, speaking in a soft voice tinged with a hint of innocence. "Daniel, it's
all my fault... You can punish me however you want. I won't complain."
