Chapter 310 She Felt Like a Loser
Theresa glanced at his legs on the wheelchair.
Sensing her hesitation, Charlie asked, “Is there any problem? You have told me that I can stand up one day. Is that a
lie?”
She put a strand of her hair behind her ear and lay on the sofa again. “Nothing wrong. Now just keep quiet. I am
taking a rest.” She was not as emotional as last night. After a few seconds, she heard someone knocking at the
door. Before she stood up to answer the door, she saw him going to open it in his wheelchair. ‘He has always
asked me to open the door. But this time… What’s wrong with him today?”
Ben’s voice came from the door. “Daddy, is my mommy awake?”

with that. After all, Ben was his natural son, who, however, preferred Theresa to him and treated Theresa as his
natural mother.
Ben soon noticed the wound on Charlie’s hand, which was already scabbed after a night. He asked, “Daddy, your
hand. When did you get hurt?”
Charlie glanced at it and answered, “Oh, a dog bit me yesterday.”
Theresa was speechless. ‘What? It was you that bit me first!’ She stood up and walked over to them. Smiling at Ben,
she said, “Good morning. Ben.”
Ben had dressed already. He had had servants help him wear the clothes since he lived in the Calsis, which was a
great help to Theresa.
Leonard stood next to Ben. Both Leonard and Ben looked at Theresa caringly. Then Ben said, “I am going to school
soon.”
“Okay,” replied Theresa.
“Mommy, are you feeling good?” asked Ben.
Theresa didn’t expect that her sons would be so concerned about her. Although she had long known that her sons
were thoughtful, she was touched again. She had been in a bad mood since she came back last night, because of
the disaster in the Camerons. Now she became vigorous again thanks to her sons’ concern. She nodded and said,
“Yes. Did you have your breakfast?”
Ben said, “No, we are going to have breakfast.”
“Okay, so am I,” replied Theresa, who walked out of the bedroom with the kids. She had thought that Pat wasn’t in
the house. When she came downstairs with her sons, however, she found Pat sitting in the dining room. together
with Mrs. Calsis.

When Theresa came over with the kids, Mrs. Calsis was talking with Pat. Noticing them, she said, “Good morning,
Leonard, Ben.”
Pat looked up at Theresa. His mouth twisted with disdain.
Theresa met his gaze and sensed the prejudice in his eyes, which stunned her. Every time he showed up, she
somehow felt that she was inferior to him. Also, she felt a surge of beating him.
“Why are you standing there? Take a seat,” someone said gently behind her.
Theresa turned around and saw Charlie who was staring at her in his wheelchair. Reminded by him, she realized
that she was standing still for a long while.
Charlie averted his gaze from Theresa to the kids. “Go and have your breakfast. You are late for school.” Then he
came to the dining table and said to Pat, “Good morning.”
Pat said, “Good morning. I came here last night. You know, Rose is in the hospital. I should take care of her.”
