Theresa said, “I believe that I will have work soon. You are not so powerful.”
“No, you are wrong,” said Jimmy. “We are way stronger than you think.” Since Theresa was not protected by
Charlie anymore, he could easily drive her out of the city.
Staring at them, Theresa said, “Well, well. Jimmy, you are like a dog in front of Rose.” Then she stood up and walked
away.
Jimmy looked back at Rose. “She is so arrogant. I will never fall in love with her, trust me, honey.”
Rose just gave him a glance and said, “I’ve got to leave. My friend is waiting for me.

“Okay, I will wait for you outside the restaurant,” said Jimmy. But at last, he followed her in.
When Theresa just walked to the gate, she saw the hotel staff line up neatly at the gate. She thought that there
might be a superstar nearby. But later she saw Charlie’s car there.
After Charlie got off the car, the head of the staff said politely, “Good morning, sir.”
Sitting in his wheelchair, Charlie didn’t reply. Jonathan then pushed Charlie’s wheelchair forward while the head of
the staff showed them the way.
Theresa stepped aside immediately to avoid them.
When passing Theresa, Charlie looked up and saw her. He was dazed because he didn’t expect that he would
meet her in the hotel. But he still remained silent and looked away.
Staring after Charlie at the gate, Theresa felt the social gap between her and Charlie, which was overwhelming.
The hotel had reserved a room for Charlie and Ronald’s meeting. When Charlie just sat in the room, Ronald and
Annie came over.
“Nice to see you, Mr. Calsis,” said Ronald who was a bit nervous in front of Charlie, although he had got many
awards in the sport.
“Have a seat.” Charlie sipped some water on the sofa.
Annie and Ronald sat down. Then Annie said, “Oh, I met Ms. Nandlall downstairs just now.”

“Is Rose here?” asked Charlie. ‘Well, she now can wander around. It seems that Rose is much better.‘
Annie said, “Yes. And Ronald is a bit tired these days. So I just asked an acupuncturist to come here. Rose told me
that the acupuncturist did some acupuncture treatment for you before, but the acupuncturist was not so
experienced, so I just asked her to go back.”
Charlie was drinking water. Hearing her words, he paused and looked at Annie. ‘Did she mean Theresa? So
Theresa was here for work, but finally, she had to go back because of Rose.’
Annie mentioned Theresa just to get close to Charlie. But now she found that Charlie’s face fell.
When she was going to diver the topic, Charlie said, “Rose must be kidding. That acupuncturist is my wife. Rose
is being naughty with her. Ms. Rockery, I hope you won’t take Rose’s words seriously.”
Annje was stunned. She asked in disbelief, “Do you mean that Theresa is your wife?”
“Yes,”
Annie apologized immediately, “I am so sorry. I don’t know about that.” She had never expected that Rose would
kid her.
