Chapter 374
She hadn’t expected Eugene to have lunch with Charlie. Charlie would kill her if he saw her with Eugene. She
didn’t want to risk her life and had to pass up the opportunity to pretend to be Eugene’s girlfriend. She believed that
she could get Eugene as long as Charlie stayed out of her way.
Charlie and Eugene were talking about work when Theresa and the children arrived at the private room.
Ben went in first and walked up to Charlie. “Daddy.”
Eugene looked at the boy, who looked cute and exactly like Charlie, but he was angry and averted his eyes at the
thought that his mother was Cristina.

Eugene was speechless.
Theresa walked in with Leonard and Charlie immediately pulled out the chair next to him.
However, the next second, Cristina walked in.
Charlie’s face darkened. He hadn’t expected Cristina to come! He said to Theresa, “You didn’t say she was
coming.”
“I came to see Leonard and Ben,” Cristina said as she sat down in a chair far from Charlie.
Charlie breathed a sigh of relief.
Theresa’s mouth twitched as she sat down next to him. Charlie had asked Cristina to sit next to him last night. Why
was he acting like Cristina was pestering him now?
Ben sat on the other side of Charlie and Leonard sat between Theresa and Cristina so that Cristina was close to
Eugene.
Cristina asked Eugene curiously, “Mr. Oneill, where’s your girlfriend?” She had expected Eugene to bring Sarah. It
was a pity that it didn’t happen!
Eugene was speechless. He thought Cristina was up to no good. “Ms. Lagarde, why are you so concerned about my
girlfriend?”
“Concerned? No, I’m just curious. We have to talk about something. I’m the only one who can liven things up
besides Ben, aren’t I?”
Eugene explained, “My girlfriend wasn’t feeling well and went back to rest.”

“Really? She wasn’t feeling well before having lunch with us? But she was fine at the hotel this morning, wasn’t
she?”
Eugene felt that Cristina was aggressive. He defended Sarah, “She’s just a naive girl. Why are you targeting her?
She’s having her period so she went back to rest.”
Cristina’s face darkened. She hadn’t expected them to be close enough for Eugene to know Sarah’s period. She
had been curious, but at the moment, she felt sick and regretted coming to this place!
Charlie was afraid that Cristina would cause trouble and affect his relationship with Theresa, but he realized that
Cristina had been targeting Eugene since she came in. He had no idea what was going on. Seeing that Cristina was
silent, Theresa asked for her, “Mr. Oneill, you and your girlfriend seem very close.”
