Chapter 395
Theresa was held in Charlie’s arms. He often held her when they were alone. The wind outside was cold while his
arms were warm. She felt like she was dreaming. She caught a glimpse of the reflection of Charlie’s handsome
face on the glass window and stared at it for a long time.
Charlie asked with a smile, “Why are you staring at me? Do you suddenly find me handsome?”
She chuckled. “Come on. Don’t flatter yourself!”
Charlie snorted. “You’re lying!”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtTheresa sensed that Charlie had become much more confident lately. “Let go of me. I really have to go
take a shower. I’m going to my dad’s office tomorrow.”
Charlie said, “Kiss me and I’ll let you go.”
“Didn’t you say you didn’t need me?” She offered to give him a massage during the day but he refused.
Now she wouldn’t kiss him!
Charlie said, “I regret that.”
Theresa thought about it, lifted her head, and kissed him on the cheek. She didn’t know how long she
could stay with him. Since she had to leave sooner or later, she wanted to cherish the moment so that she would
smile when she thought of him in the future.
Theresa went into the bathroom to wash her face and take a bath. She and Charlie had been married for some
time. She felt like she was dreaming every day, but she still remembered why she had married him. Even though
Charlie was good to her now, she hadn’t forgotten what she was supposed to do.
Theresa got up early the next day. She came downstairs and found Eugene alone in the dining room
drinking coffee.
Eugene greeted her when he saw her, “Good morning.”
Theresa remembered what Cristina had told her last night. She sat down across from Eugene and stared at him.
Eugene asked, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Theresa smiled. “I just want to know what scumbag looks like.”

you.”
“Cristina rejected you and I persuaded her to accept you, but what did you do to her?” Theresa regretted being so
naive and having encouraged Cristina to believe in love. She hadn’t wanted to break Cristina’s heart. It turned out
that men were all the same.
Eugene frowned and didn’t say anything.
Theresa sighed. “Forget it. It’s between you and Cristina. Don’t go too far.”
Eugene said as Theresa was about to stand up, “I want to marry Cristina.”
“What?” Theresa turned to look at him.
Eugene put down his glass. “I want to marry her.”
