She munched on a hunk of bread with her head lowered down.

While she was trying to swallow the bread, Matthew called to her coldly, "Sherry, John and your sister are here for

The champagne was slightly spicy on the tongue, but it helped her swallow the bread and freedher throat.

She put the glass down.
