Chapter 1285 Shermaine was anxious for a moment, then she immediately took out her phone and made a call.
After the call was connected, she said hurriedly,” Assistant Bogard, the young master came to the company earlier,
but I told him to wait because Master Carter was in a meeting. I didn‘t expect him to disappear while I went out to
buy him some ice cream.”
Cliff quickly said, “Calm down and search around the entrance first. I’ll get some people and go find him.”
“Okay, I‘ll go to the entrance.”
After hanging up the phone, Shermaine threw the ice cream into the trash can and walked in the direction of the
main entrance.
Meanwhile, in a spacious conference room on the tenth floor of the building, a routine executive meeting was in
session.
At the head of the table was a man dressed in a black suit, sitting elegantly in a leather chair. His face was

solemn.
Anyone who spoke first subconsciously gauged his
expression.
At that moment, a department head who was nearing his fifties was reporting to the man for the current quarter.
Odell spun his chair, propped his chin up on his hand, and gazed to the side where the report was being projected
on a large screen. Although his posture was lazy and casual, his face was still cold and solemn. His sharp and
serious eyes made the people beneath him not dare to slack off at
all.
Then, a creak sounded as the conference room door was suddenly pushed open.
The group of people immediately looked over.
A small figure wearing a yellow T–shirt, denim pants, and a yellow hat poked his head in.
Everyone froze.
Where did this little kid come from? Who brought him to the company? Did they have a death wish?
Just when they were shocked and worried for the person who brought the child here, the little one‘s bright eyes
were suddenly directed at the man at the head of the table. His eyes curved, and he opened his mouth to yell
sweetly, “Daddy!”
Then, his chubby little figure ran toward the man.
The man on the seat stretched out his hands and picked
the boy up into his arms the moment the child ran over. The corners of the man‘s thin lips curled up, and the stern
indifference in his face disappeared.
The others were flabbergasted.
Odell held Flint with one hand and pinched his face with the other. “Why are you here?”
Flint‘s eyes seemed pitiful. “Because I miss you. You haven‘t been home for several days.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOdell knitted his brows. He had been very busy these days, so he had indeed gone home less frequently. He asked
in a low voice, “Where are Mommy and your siblings? Did you come here alone?”
“Mommy is with Great–grandma , Liam is reading, and Isabel is playing games. None of them wanted to play with
me, so I asked Uncle Jacob to bring me here to find you.” Flint pouted as he spoke, his little face looking pitiful.
Odell stroked his head. “Daddy still has work to do, so wait next to me for a while. I‘ll take you home with me when
I‘m done.”
He glanced at the secretary by the side. Immediately, the secretary brought over a soft and comfortable seat on
which Odell placed Flint.
The little one was very obedient. After sitting down, he crossed his little legs and held his chubby face with his
two hands. His big eyes looked around quietly. His adorableness instantly stunned the group of people, especially
some of the older ones who showed him a loving smile.
Then, the man‘s low voice commanded, “Continue.”
When the group of people saw his cold and serious look, they immediately snapped back to their senses and went
back to business.
