Chapter 1468
Outside, it was dark and cold.
Sherry really missed Caprice. She did not leave. Instead, she crouched in the dark, wrapped in a thick down jacket,
hoping to see Caprice when she came out with John.
However, even after a few hours and there were no people left on the road, she did not see John bring Caprice out.
There were several times when she had spent the night at Sager Corporation when something urgent cropped up.
Something mostly likely really did happen to that man, so he might not leave the office tonight.
Sherry stopped squatting there. She touched her empty stomach and called a taxi back to the hotel.
Two days later, at around 4 p.m., she heard from him again.
He said that he had read her revised letter of intent for partnership and wanted to go through the details.
Sherry rushed to Stockton Tower but was escorted to the conference room again. It took another half an hour for
John to come. Then, he wasted her time until the evening and did not allow her to go upstairs with him afterward.
Sherry missed Caprice, but she endured it.

She had just gotten back from a bistro when she received a message from him, saying that he wanted to talk to her
further about collaborating.
Sherry did not even eat lunch and rushed straight over.
However, she was taken to the conference room again, and it took another half an hour before John walked in with
elegant steps.
Sherry forced herself to curl her lips at him. Her smile was cold and fake, and slightly twisted.
John was stunned but smiled at her, saying, “Sorry for …the wait, Ms. Fowler.”
Sherry sneered in her heart. “It’s fine.” Her smile was still very stiff and fake.
John paused. “You don’t have to smile if you don’t want to.”
Sherry immediately put away her smile and looked at him coldly.
He gave a low chuckle and sat down opposite her. Like the previous two times, he first drank two sips of tea, then
unhurriedly flipped through the printed documents.
Sherry sat without moving.
Time slowly ticked by.
Unsurprisingly, he had not gotten to the point even when evening came. He was still sipping on his tea slowly.
A growl sounded.
It was her stomach grumbling in hunger.
John, who was drinking tea, looked dumbfounded.
Standing by the side, Peter was also confused.
They both looked toward Sherry.
John put down his cup, looked at her with a smile, and asked in a puzzled tone, “What was that sound? Did you hear
that, Ms. Fowler?”
Sherry was speechless. Her anger rushed straight to her head.
Bam!
She slapped the table and stood up. “It was my goddamned stomach!” Her voice was even louder than the sound
of her slapping the table.
Peter was stunned, and so was John.

Caprice?!”
She thought that he had had enough after tricking her for two days, but she did not think he could still toy with her
today.
She had rushed over without even eating lunch, but instead, she had to appreciate him slowly drinking his tea and
see him leisurely flipping through the documents.
What was that supposed to mean?
He treated her like a circus monkey!
The large conference room was quiet.
Peter was so shocked that his eyes were wide. He obviously had never seen Sherry lose her temper like that.
John pursed his lips in silence. Not long after that, he asked, “Are you hungry?”
“I’m not hungry. I want to see Caprice!” Sherry glared at him fiercely. It was as if she would kill him if he refused to
let her see Caprice again.
John was silent for a while longer, then smiled at her.” Caprice is sleeping. She can’t see you right now.”
Bam!
