Chapter 1908
Caprice was slightly stunned.
Liam got up and dragged her up in the process.
He then carried Caprice across the bridge and exited the event hall; they walked past Heather who had just gotten
out of the water.
Heather was drenched, sitting on the ground in a wretched state.
Caprice could see her ferocious gaze but the man ignored her existence completely.
He did not even spare a glance at her and did not even pause when he walked past her.
Caprice was dumbfounded.
Heather was his girlfriend. However, not only did he not save Heather from the water, but he carried Caprice away

Dong!
Something hit Caprice’s head and brought her back to her senses.
As she regained her senses, she realized Liam had brought her into his car.
He was beside her, looking at her with his deep and abyssal gaze.
Caprice was slightly surprised. She instinctively wanted to move away but his hand wrapped around her waist
before she could.
His brows furrowed. "Where are you going?"
"N-Nowhere.”
"Sit tight."
"Mhmm..."
Liam released her waist after she settled down. He grabbed his dry jacket and put it over her shoulder.
He looked rather angry, so she did as she was told and did not cause a scene.
After putting the jacket over her, he pulled his hands back.
It became quiet inside the car.
A while later, Caprice looked at him.
He leaned against the seat and stared ahead with a blank gaze as the car sprinted along the freeway.
It seemed like he was driving to his place in the city center.
Caprice turned to the back.
There were other cars on the road and they were going in the opposite direction of Elysian Hotel.
The man was not nervous at all.
Was he going to simply drive away without even talking to Heather?

He was still leaning against the seat and his eyes were still on the road.
His hair and shirt were wet and it made him look even more charming.
He probably sensed her gaze on him, so he turned to her and looked her in the eye.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.
Caprice bit her lips awkwardly. A few seconds of hesitation later, she asked, "Liam, Heather fell into the water as
well."
"I know,” he answered with his usual frosty tone.
He made it sound like Heather was a stranger.
Caprice could not help but ask, "Shouldn't you check on her?"
She wondered why he would carry her away in front of Heather.
Liam frowned and his expression turned grim. "You want me to check on her?"
Caprice shook her head instinctively, but then she realized Heather was still his girlfriend, so she quickly explained,
"No, it's not what I mean. I just don't understand why you saved me and not her."
Liam's brows furrowed tightly. He asked in his deep voice, "Why should I save her?"
