Chapter 478

At this point, Emmanuel couldn’t care less about Tobias‘ life. He kicked the

man to the side before walking back to Mackenzie and carrying her into his

arms.

He couldn’t suppress his anger earlier because he saw her injured.

Besides, her coat was removed. He had zero idea about what Tobias did to

her.

After checking up on her, Emmanuel was glad to see only her coat was

removed. The rest of her clothing remained in good condition and showed no

signs of damage.

He signed in relief. He surged to his feet, about to leave the place with her in

his arms.

However, her dress was pinned under the table. The force only tore the dress

open.

Her pantyhose–clad legs came into view.

The sight overwhelmed him. He could feel his skin burn and his breath

quicken.

He was overjoyed.

Emmanuel failed the seventeen blind dates before. He already expected to

live a lonely life without a wife. However, he was now married to a gorgeous

woman.

I’m a lucky man!

Even so, he noted her choice of dress.

She’s wearing a well–known luxury brand, but what’s with the quality? How

can the dress get damaged so easily? Her thighs are showing! Only wealthy

people will buy such poor–quality products.

Emmanuel knew nothing at all, as it was all out of his league. Little did he

know that the dress was designed as such on purpose so that couples could

have fun with it.

It was just that Emmanuel was an insensitive man. He knew nothing about

adding a little spice to life.

Fortunately, Mackenzie didn’t plan on wearing this dress to seduce him

because it would end up very badly.

Emmanuel used his damaged coat to cover Mackenzie’s body.

He was taller and stronger than her. As such, his coat managed to cover her

thighs, effectively avoiding any indecent exposure.

Just as he was walking out of the living room, Felix brought the bodyguards

inside.

“Mr. Lenoir!” Felix’s face was darkened by anger at the sight of the mess. He

immediately walked over to Tobias‘ side and helped him sit.

“H–He’s dead!” Felix announced in a shaky voice. Blood drained from the

bodyguards‘ faces, and they immediately circled Emmanuel.

“Y–You killed Mr. Lenoir! You must pay for this!” Felix glared at Emmanuel with

bloodshot eyes. I can’t believe it. He really killed Mr. Lenoir!

At that, Emmanuel shot him a challenging look. “He deserves it.”

He wasn’t afraid of declaring war.

After all, a husband had the right to kill his wife’s assaulter. Justice was on his

side even if the Lenoir family wanted to sue him.

Felix was no stranger to the law. Therefore, he averted his gaze.

Since the group didn’t dare to make a move, Emmanuel left with Mackenzie

in his arms.

The bodyguards turned to Felix with shocked expressions on their faces. “Mr

John, are we letting them go just like that? What are we supposed to tell

General Lenoir?”

“Let them go!” Felix coldly answered.

The bodyguards were confused upon hearing that. However, they knew they

were no match for Emmanuel, and they didn’t dare offend Mackenzie.

Therefore, the group made way for Emmanuel.

He left the villa without anybody stopping him.

After putting her in the backseat, Emmanuel massaged her stomach to

induce vomit.

He had always known that Mackenzie had a stomach problem. After helping

her to clear the food in her stomach, he continued to massage her. However,

she opened her eyes when his hand came around her chest.

Her vision was blurred due to the effects of the drug.

“You’re awake, Mackenzie.” Even Emmanuel had to respect her willpower. How

could she wake up after getting drugged and injured?

Mackenzie didn’t answer him. Instead, she lowered her head, surprised to

discover that her clothes were a mess. Besides, Emmanuel’s hand was

resting on her body.
