Chapter 21 Nancy Fell Into The Swimming Pool

“Yeah, it’s quite urgent,” Nicholas said..

Nancy tightened her grip on her hand, and it seemed there was no need to continue speaking.

“Madelline had a check-up today, and her condition isn’t looking good. Her emotions…”

Nancy immediately tilted her head and said coldly, “Fine, then go quickly!”

She wanted to avoid hearing a word of the reasons.

but Nancy couldn’t recall her name.

“I don’t think so. Jacob would never arrange such a terrible woman for Nicholas. She’s not coming out

because she’s too embarrassed. I heard her family is in an inferior condition. Her mom is at nurse, and

her dad is a gambler. If it weren’t for her mom saving Grandfather’s life, with her background, she could

never match up to the Sallows.”

“Children from small and humble families are just pitiful. They look poor and shabby, not to mention

their unimpressive appearance. That’s why Nicholas hasn’t brought her out. He’s afraid of becoming a

laughingstock.”

The two young girls stood to the side, discussing and ridiculing Nancy as if no one was listening

Nancy clenched her fists. They could make fun of her, but they couldn’t make fun of her family,

especially her mother.

Nancy put on her shoes, straightened her clothes, and walked over. “Seeing that you two are so pretty,

gossiping about others behind their backs is not good!”

Both girls turned to look at her at the same time.

Then, with a contemptuous smile, they grunted coldly, “Who are you? It’s none of your business.”

“It doesn’t matter who I am. What matters is that I’m not used to seeing you guys gossiping.”

The two girls laughed again and looked at her condescendingly. “Then what? Let me tell you, this is the

Sallows, and it’s my turf. I can say whatever I want. You can’t tell me what to do.”

“Of course, you can talk. It’s your freedom of speech, but you can’t make stuff up.”

“What do you mean?” The girl clutched her arms and stared at her incredulously. “How dare you

contradict me! I think you’re tired of living.”

After that, one of the girls behind her suddenly reached out and pushed Nancy.

Nancy was caught off guard, not expecting that they would dare to cause trouble in front of so many

people on Grandfather’s birthday.

She can’t swim.

And the water in the pool was freezing.

As soon as she fell in, she felt freezing.

She opened her mouth, about to shout for help, but the pool water instantly choked her.

After a few flutters, Nancy began to sink rapidly.

Sarah panicked when she saw that the person lying on the bed was Nancy. She sat beside her, holding

Nancy’s hand and calling,” Nancy, please wake up!”

Hearing the calls, Nancy slowly opened her eyes and said, “Mom, there are so many guests

downstairs. Why are you here?”

“Why didn’t you tell me about falling into the water? How could such a thing happen to you? Tell me,

did someone push you on purpose? I need to investigate this matter.”

“Mom, I know you’ve been taking care of all the guests today, and you’ve been so busy. How could I

disturb you with just a little accident? Besides, today is Grandpa’s birthday party. It’s such a special

day. I can’t let my mishap overshadow his joy.” Nancy smiled.

Nancy meant what she said. She was indeed aggrieved.

But she couldn’t ruin Grandpa’s birthday to get justice for herself.

She knew that once this matter was thoroughly investigated, Grandpa would seek justice for her. With

that girl from the Sallows, things would only get more complicated, and Grandpa’s birthday. would

coming back or going to see that mistress?”

Nancy suddenly held her breath, listening intently to the answer on the other side of the phone.
