Chapter 225 Nancy, You Look Like Someone

Julian quickly interrupted her. “Who said I have feelings for her?”

“Don’t you?” Toni asked, confused. “Why are you so concerned about Nancy’s situation, then?”

Julian frowned and eventually came up with a weak excuse. “I was asking for a friend.

“Oh.”

“So, do you know her boyfriend?”

She immediately shook her head. “No. Nancy hasn’t formally introduced us yet, but her boyfriend came to the

hospital once to see her, and I saw him briefly. He’s incredibly handsome, has a great temperament, and also a

great physique. Mr. Jadin, I think your friend probably doesn’t have much of

a chance.

Julian was speechless.

I’m just asking her to gather information, but she’s started analyzing it…

“There’s nothing else. You can go now.”

Toni was still puzzled as she left Julian’s office.

Why did he suddenly ask me about Nancy’s situation?

It was very unusual, and Toni thought about it for a long time before deciding to tell Nancy about it.

Nancy was also shocked and puzzled when she heard it. “He asked you about my situation? And he asked about my

boyfriend?”

“Yes. Toni nodded honestly.

Upon thinking back to their past conflicts, Nancy felt somewhat confused. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but

she couldn’t shake the feeling that Julian was a strange person.

In the evening, Nancy couldn’t wait to leave the hospital after work. When she reached the hospital’s entrance, she

finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, just as she relaxed, a car pulled up beside her, and Julian’s face slowly appeared as the car window rolled

down. “Heading home? I’ll give you a ride.”

“It’s alright. Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Jadin.” Nancy declined without hesitation.

As they stood on a narrow road with many vehicles passing by, car horns began to blare in rapid succession behind

them.

“Get in the car!” Julian insisted.

Feeling cornered by the honking cars, she reluctantly got into Julian’s car. Julian sat in the back, and Nancy also took

a seat in the back.

Oddly, once in the car, Julian closed his eyes and appeared to be sleeping, not saying a word.

After about ten minutes, Nancy glanced at him, then out the window at the flashing neon lights. She spoke as she

couldn’t contain herself. “Mr. Jadin, if I’ve offended you in any way, I sincerely apologize and hope you can forgive

me. I genuinely didn’t try to attract your attention. I just want to focus on doing my job properly. My mother is also

in the medical field. She used to be a nurse, and becoming a doctor is a shared dream of hers and mine. I just want

to excel in my chosen profession. If you can forgive me, please let me work in a peaceful environment. If you can’t

forgive me, that’s okay too. I’ll consider moving to another hospital.

Nancy felt a sense of relief after expressing herself.

At least there was no need to be on edge anymore.

However, Julian remained leaning back with his eyes closed.

He didn’t say if he wanted to forgive her or not.

The longer he remained silent, the more Nancy felt anxious.

If it wasn’t necessary, she really didn’t want to leave this hospital.

First of all, it was because of her mentor and his wife, who had been very good to her and had entrusted her with

important tasks. She couldn’t let down their efforts and dedication.

Secondly, as she had mentioned before, entering this hospital was a shared goal and dream between her and her

mother, and she hoped to fulfill her mother’s dream.

Of course, there was another very important reason. This hospital was one of the most famous and prestigious

hospitals in the city and even the entire country. It had the most professional and authoritative teams and the most

renowned professors. This was what she aspired to do.

The car continued to drive forward, but the person in the car remained silent.

At that moment, a sense of desolation filled Nancy’s heart, and she was already contemplating how to write her

resignation letter.

Suddenly, the man in the car opened his eyes, and his voice rang out. “How do you know that I wanted to find fault

with you? Why can’t it be because of an apology?

An apology? She had already sincerely and earnestly apologized to him.

She was confused. How does he expect me to apologize?

Upon seeing her bewildered expression. Julian sighed and said. “What I meant was, I want to apologize to you”

“What?”

A-Apologize to me?

This time, Nancy was completely stunned

“Yes, Nancy. I want to sincerely apologize to you. I’m sorry for being shallow and for wrongly assuming things about

you.”

Nancy was genuinely shocked, and she felt like she was frozen in place. She forgot how to react.

It was just too unexpected.

She was utterly astonished.

An apology from him? Julian is apologizing to me? Is this real?

“Mr. Jadin, are you… are you really apologizing to me?”

Julian looked at her and nodded seriously. “You can rest assured. I am different now. If you have some time, could

you listen to my explanation?”

Nancy had not yet replied, but he had already started talking again. “My previous impression of you wasn’t good. I

repeatedly made things difficult for you. I even pushed you, ridiculed you, and tried to make you reveal your true

nature.”

“What true nature?” Nancy was genuinely surprised. She wasn’t a mythical creature, so why did she need to reveal

her true nature?

“I’ve encountered and known too many women who were attracted to me because of my identity and status, and

they tried to get close to me in various ways. Seeing this type of woman too often made me automatically assume

that any woman approaching me had the same intentions. That’s why I categorized you as one of them. And

because of this, I said some hurtful things and did some unkind. things to you. I apologize.”

Nancy hadn’t expected Julian to apologize to her. While she still had some lingering discomfort from their past

encounters, hearing his explanation helped her understand him better, and she felt less resentful.

“That’s one reason, but it’s not the most important reason,” Julian suddenly added.

Nancy stared at him and asked, “What is the most important reason?”

He looked at her with a deep and almost vortex-like gaze.

After a long pause, he spoke in a heavy tone. “The most important reason is that you look very much like

someone.”

Do I look like someone?

Nancy’s initial reaction was to think of her own background when she thought of this.

Can it be that I resemble my father, and Julian happens to know him?

This thought thrilled her, and she eagerly seized Julian’s garments, inquiring. “Who do I resemble?”
