GoodReadXade's pov When I got back inside the house, I made a beeline for Avery who was seated on the sofa and chatting away with Kaylee and mom. Mom's brows pinched in worry when she spottedand Avery looks just as worried.
" Xade?" I picked her up, making her flush as I hug her closer to my body in front of everyone. I bury my nose in the crook of her neck, the tip of my nose brushing against my mark on her neck. She shivers. " Xade?" I kissed her neck and then place her on her two feet. "I need to go buy a few things but I will be back soon," "It's not safe, you should let someone else- Mom started but I cut her off." No, I'm the only one who should buy this. I won't be long," I reassure her and Avery who's still staring atwith worry. The skin between her brows are furrowed and lined and I reach up to rub it off her pretty face.
