Chapter 512
“Thank you for the effort.”
After hanging up, Camila felt a shiver run down her spine.
The widely publicized divorce case between Bradley and Esther had captured the world’s attention,
and Camila couldn’t avoid it. Especially when Esther’s lawyer presented evidence in court, Camila was
sure Bradley would end up in a welfare institution. Thus, she used a business trip as an excuse to
escape to another city ahead of time.
However, Camila hadn’t expected Bradley to act so swiftly.
Her heart trembled when she thought of Cole. Camila pondered carefully. She had executed her plan
flawlessly, leaving no room for Bradley to find any flaws in the existing records.

Camila pulled out her phone, hesitated momentarily, and dialed a number.
“Boss, Bradley is at the welfare institution.”
“Cooperate fully.”
Camila remained uneasy. “What if-”
“Cooperate fully.”
The voice on the other end was as cold as a robot.
Camila was about to ask more questions when a loud noise erupted by her ear.
“I understand, Boss.”
As soon as Camila ended the call, the man’s phone rang again. The phone’s ringtone sounded
particularly harsh in the empty opera house.
The mysterious man, X, leaned back on the black leather sofa in the theater, holding a glass of red
wine and swirling it elegantly.
He glanced at the incoming call and answered it with a cold smirk.
“Why did you send me abroad?”
As soon as Liliane came out of the airport, a blonde woman patted her shoulder. “Ms. Anstey, my boss
asked me to wait for you here.”
Liliane looked at the blonde woman warily, took out her phone, and called X.
“The events from five years ago have already been exposed…” answered X.
Liliane exclaimed, “What did you say?”
“Look at the news yourself,” the enigmatic man said, twirling his wine glass. The crimson liquid slid
down slowly. “Once you’ve checked, decide if you’ll go with her.”

She quickly searched for Bradley and Esther’s trial outcome on her phone. Esther had won.
Surprisingly, Esther had found proof of Liliane tampering with Thomas’ oxygen mask five years ago.
No wonder X had told her to leave right after her testimony. Liliane hadn’t expected Esther to remain so
composed. Had Esther shared the original video online from the beginning, Liliane would have
definitely ended up in prison.
Upon thinking of her ruined image, death seemed preferable to prison.
“The car’s ready outside.”
Liliane hesitated, then got into the waiting car with the blonde woman.
“Here’s your new identity,” the woman said.
Liliane was puzzled.
“The boss has arranged a top plastic surgeon for you. Adopt your new identity during your recovery.”
Liliane opened the folder and took out a document. Upon seeing its contents, her eyes widened. Each
word felt like a stab in her heart.
Numerous question marks filled her mind. Who could this mysterious boss be?
