Bradley’s eyes brimmed with anger as he clutched Felix tightly. He shot a stern look at the bodyguards.” Are you
just going to let them cause a scene here?”
Originally, the bodyguards had kept Bradley from seeing Esther. But now, it was evident the noisy surroundings
weren’t suitable for her in her current condition.
The bodyguards escorted the pleading elderly couple away.
Bradley held Felix’s hand and approached the hospital room door. He glared at the bodyguard blocking his path and
growled, “Move!”

The bodyguard and Bradley hesitated. They didn’t want to fight in front of Felix.
The bodyguard had no choice but to plead with Bradley, “Mr. Warner, please understand that our job is difficult.”
Bradley forcefully pushed the door open and entered. Inside, he found Esther lying in the hospital bed, her
complexion deathly pale.
Felix squirmed out of Bradley’s grasp and rushed to Esther’s side, gently holding her hand. “Mommy, your precious
son is here to see you!”
Esther remained unresponsive to Felix’s words. With all his might, Felix climbed onto the hospital bed to give Esther
a gentle kiss.
Before Felix could plant a kiss, Bradley lifted him and placed him at the foot of the bed.
“Felix, no more playing around!”
Felix sat down and explained softly, “Daddy, I wasn’t playing around. This is how the prince wakes up Sleeping
Beauty, just like in fairy tales.”
Bradley was left speechless.
Felix saw Bradley pick up Esther’s phone and reprimanded him. “Daddy, you’re not allowed to invade Mommy’s
privacy!”
“Felix, please be quiet,” Bradley said impatiently, staring at Felix..
Felix obediently closed his mouth and gestured for Bradley not to look.

Bradley glanced at Felix and then turned his attention to Esther’s phone. He quickly found the picture of the
severed hand and the threatening messages from Chadwick.
As Bradley gazed at Esther, he looked bitter.
Frightened, Felix sought refuge in Esther’s embrace, trembling as if it were the only way he could feel safe.
“Mommy, please wake up,” Felix whispered softly to Esther.
Bradley abruptly stood up. He held Esther’s phone and strode out of the room. Spotting Kevin, he tossed the phone
into Kevin’s hands.
Kevin caught the phone but was startled when he saw the gruesome Image of a severed hand.
“Whose hand is this?”
Bradley felt like smoking out of frustration. His eyes were filled with killing intent.
Chadwick had used him to threaten Esther, and the foolish woman had fallen for his tricks!
