Chapter 581
“What are you doing?” Esther was taken aback as the elderly couple unexpectedly tried to take her in broad
daylight.
The couple spoke simultaneously. “Miss, we’re truly sorry, but we’re just regular parents.”
They only wanted their daughter to survive, even if it meant breaking the law.
“Let me go!
“Help! Help!”
Esther was being forcefully dragged toward the operating room by the elderly couple. Unbeknownst to them, no
doctor would dare perform a liver transplant on her without her consent.

“This is our daughter. She’s sick and doesn’t want treatment. She wants to run away!”
“Yes, that’s correct!”
Hearing the elderly couple’s explanation, the bystander chimed in. “Miss, listen to your parents…”
Esther couldn’t take it anymore and snarled, “I’m not their daughter!”
“Please, dear. It’s just a minor operation. Don’t be scared.”
“It won’t hurt at all! Be good.”
Just then, Jasper appeared like a guardian angel. “Release her.”
The elderly couple demanded angrily, “Who are you? Step aside and mind your own business!”
“Jasper! Help me!”
Esther had the strength to break free, but due to her weakened state and the elderly couple’s unexpected actions,
she became momentarily disoriented.
“I’m counting to three. If you don’t let go, I’ll call the police.”
Reluctantly, the elderly couple released their grips on Esther, realizing that Jasper was not to be trifled
with.
They abandoned their earlier fierceness and wore pitiable expressions. “Miss, please don’t blame us. We’re just
desperate to save our daughter.”
Jasper roared, “Leave!”
The couple pleaded incessantly, “Miss, please, help-”
“Hello, police?” Jasper didn’t want to waste more time with the elderly couple and immediately called the police.

“Esther, what just happened?”
Tears welled up in Esther’s eyes in response to Jasper’s concerned question. “They found out that my liver is a
match for their daughter and want me to undergo a liver transplant for her.
Jasper frowned disapprovingly. “Are they trying to force you into donating your liver?”

“I can actually understand their desperation.” Esther thought of Bradley in the emergency room and sighed deeply.
“Jasper, Bradley has late-stage liver cancer. He needs a liver transplant, too. I’ve been tested, but I’m not a match.
I can’t save him.”
Jasper looked at Esther in shock. “Is there an issue with the test? Bradley is so healthy. How could he have liver
cancer?”
“It’s true. He has liver cancer. He coughed up blood and fainted!”
