Bradley’s unexpected remark took Esther aback. Suddenly, she erupted into scornful laughter dripping with

sarcasm. Tears streamed down her face as she gazed at Bradley’s savage expression, which was uncomfortably

close.

“Bradley, can a wedding night still be ‘consummated’ like this?” she quipped.

Bradley detected the mockery in Esther’s words. He firmly grasped her jaw and pronounced each word deliberately.

“Then, allow me to fulfill the groom’s duties on behalf of Mr. Pendleton!”

The mere thought of Esther marrying Chadwick haunted Bradley. It stirred tumultuous emotions within him.

Bradley would never permit other men to lay hands on the women he had once possessed, even if he eventually

discarded them. In the case of defiant women like Esther, he intended to make her face the consequences of

“betraying” him through his actions.

“Bradley—”

Bradley didn’t wait for Esther to finish speaking and forcefully pulled off her bridal veil.

Even though Esther and Chadwick’s wedding had always been part of a larger plan, it had been carefully arranged

to seem genuine and make the Pendletons feel at ease.

Esther’s bridal attire, crafted overnight by skilled artisans, was adorned with intricate golden embroidery. Her

jewelry was solid gold. Esther’s entire outfit was worth a small fortune, something an average person might never

earn in their lifetime.

Bradley discarded each piece of her clothing like garbage, tearing them away one by one and throwing them

outside the crystal coffin.

Esther didn’t resist. She understood that the more she fought back, the harsher Bradley’s response would be. She

lay in the crystal coffin like a lifeless doll, allowing Bradley to do as he pleased.

Seeing Esther’s passive reaction, Bradley suddenly sat up in the crystal coffin. “Esther, if you plan I’ll make you

watch as I throw your offspring into the sea!”

Esther lay in the shreds of her torn bridal dress and replied fearlessly, “They’re your daughters, too.”

‘Daughters?’ he thought.

“Hah!” Bradley understood what Esther thought. He pulled out his phone and called a number. “Hello, it’s me. Toss

the two kids in the villa to the pool—”

Esther had no idea where her courage came from, but she snatched the phone and growled into it, “Do not lay a

finger on my children!”

Bradley pinned her against the crystal coffin’s wall. The coffin was so cold it made her shiver.

“Esther! Their fate depends on you. Do you understand?” Bradley said.

Esther roared, “Do you still have any humanity left? They’re your children too!”

Bradley sneered as he grabbed the phone from her. His dark eyes locked onto her now lively expression. He leaned

in closer, his lips near Esther’s ear, and softly said, “Esther, you know what you have to do.”

Esther glared at Bradley, feeling resentful. She took a deep breath and tried to comfort herself. ‘Fine! Bradley

wasn’t bad-looking! I can endure this!’

Back when Esther was deeply in love with Bradley, she would have welcomed this kind of closeness with tears of

joy. But now, all she felt was a deep ache in her heart when she looked at him.

She hesitantly and awkwardly kissed Bradley’s thin lips, lacking any finesse.
