When Bradley received Mandy’s call, he nonchalantly tossed his sandwich into the crystal coffin where Esther was
located.
Esther immediately called out, “Bradley, can you stay?”
Bradley casually walked over to Esther, grasped her hair, and sneered. “You don’t want me to leave?”
Esther responded with a hum.
Bradley chuckled. “You have no right to question my business! Remember your place. You’re nothing more than my
captive!”
With that, he released Esther’s hair.
Esther slumped against the bottom of the crystal coffin. Bradley pressed a remote control, and the lid of the coffin
closed.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEsther could only lower her head and watch Bradley vanish into the blinding light from an extremely uncomfortable
position.
The large doors slowly shut, and all the lights around her dimmed once more.
Esther huddled in fear, unsure how long it had been since Bradley had taken her away. She didn’t know if Felix,
Sunshine, Agatha, and the others would be concerned about her.
She feared that Bradley would keep her captive there indefinitely.
She longed for Felix, for her daughters she had never met…
She yearned to uncover the truth about everything that had transpired five years ago.

After setting up a meeting with Bradley, Mandy glanced at the anxious Liora and calmly asked, “Mom, do you want
to come along with me?”
“Mandy, maybe we should go and visit—”
“Visit ‘Mother’ and endure humiliation?” Mandy coldly interrupted. “Fine, since you’re so insistent, I’ll take you to
see her.”
“Mandy, Selene is a kind person…”
Mandy was rendered speechless.
Selene was kind and yet treated this way. Mandy would rather not be kind. At least, as a villain, she wouldn’t be
bullied!

Mandy escorted Liora to the Pendleton mansion.
When a leader fell, the followers scattered. With Selene managing the household for these years, unity prevailed
among the Pendletons. Now that Richard and Chadwick were arrested, the servants were on edge.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSelene had called a moving company to pack her belongings—clothes, jewelry, and other important items. She was
able to do this as a token of appreciation from Marcus for providing the information she did.
“Selene…”
When Selene heard that Liora wanted to see her, she was momentarily surprised. However, the complex
relationship between them needed resolution.
“You’re the one Richard loves and wants to marry. Now that we’ve signed the divorce papers, I should address you
as Mrs. Pendleton. So, what can I do for you, Mrs. Pendleton?”
Liora failed to detect the sarcasm in Selene’s words. Over the years, she had clashed with Selene numerous times,
taking advantage of Richard’s protection.
“You don’t care about Richard and Chadwick anymore?” Liora asked.
Selene raised an eyebrow in response. “Why should I care?”
“Chadwick is your son—”
Selene grabbed an ashtray from the table and slammed it down in front of Liora.
This marked the first time Liora had witnessed Selene lose her temper. Instinctively, she wanted Mandy to shield
her.
