“What does this mean?” Bradley fixed a furious gaze on the words.
Knowing that Bradley was deliberately asking, Kevin chuckled mockingly. “Isn’t this what you asked for, Bradley?”
Bradley retaliated by hurling everything at Kevin. Countless papers filled the air before cascading to the floor.
“You’re declaring a critical condition notice for a minor fall?!”
Kevin gathered the scattered A4 papers and smacked them onto Bradley’s furious face.
“Bradley, this is Esther’s medical condition.
“She was released from prison less than a year ago. Count her surgeries—she donated bone marrow to Felix,
suffered a miscarriage because of you, and even donated her liver to another person.

brink repeatedly. Do you want her dead?”
The experts in the conference room were accustomed to Kevin’s usual gentleness, so they were taken aback by his
fiery outburst. They had no idea that Esther had undergone so many surgeries in the past six months.
Usually, even a single surgery required several months of recovery. After numerous surgeries, even the strongest
body would weaken.
“Kevin!” Bradley stood like an insurmountable mountain, blocking Kevin’s path. “I need you to heal her right now.”
His voice was icy, filling the entire conference room.
Kevin snorted, expressing great pain. “I’m human, not a god. I can’t heal her. You should seek help elsewhere.”
“Kevin!” Bradley yelled, his face veins bulging. His eyes betrayed brutal cruelty as if Kevin’s failure to heal Esther
would bring about the end of the world.
“Bradley, I can’t heal her. Doctors can only treat illnesses, not resurrect someone with a stopped heart.
“Furthermore, you must be aware that Esther has lost a significant amount of blood. Her entire blood supply has
been replaced. You should prepare yourself for what may come.”
Kevin rested his head on the table, not wanting anyone to witness his overwhelming powerlessness.
Bradley’s heart ached. His vision blurred, and he swayed like a withered leaf in the autumn wind, on the brink of
collapse.
“You…”
The other experts in the conference room reviewed Esther’s latest medical reports on their work tablets.
“Mr. Warner, Dr. Slade is absolutely correct. Continuous surgeries have significantly weakened your wife’s immune

“Under normal circumstances, even a single miscarriage requires a recovery period.”
“Considering the frequency of her surgeries…”
A murderous glint flashed across Bradley’s dark eyes. “I want a treatment plan.”
The expert replied, “The doctors in the operating room are already working on Madam…”
Bradley abruptly slammed a chair to the ground.
“Is their treatment limited to issuing a critical condition notice?
“You’re all experts, earning substantial salaries and having access to ample research funds. And you’re telling me
you can’t heal her?
“If you can’t cure her, then…”
