Agatha continued to study Esther. Her eyes welled with tears when she saw the scars on Esther’s body.
Kevin couldn’t let Agatha continue, so he swiftly retrieved Esther’s medical report.
“Dr. Foster, please check Esther’s medical report,” Kevin said.
Agatha sat down and examined the report. To her surprise, Esther’s condition was worse than expected.
Esther had recently improved at her clinic, so why had her condition suddenly deteriorated?
Kevin didn’t dare interrupt Agatha’s thoughts. He hoped Bradley would realize the seriousness of the situation and
stop mistreating Esther.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEsther was pitiful. She was an orphan with no one to care for her.
After Bradley had hidden Esther, the Quills were too busy with the Pendleton matter to search for her. Cleaning up
the Pendleton aftermath left them unable to look for her.
Most importantly, no one expected Bradley to treat his wife this way.
“Kevin, let me test your knowledge. Given Esther’s deteriorating condition, how long can she live without proper
care if she wakes up?” Agatha asked.
Kevin was trained in modern medicine and replied solemnly, “At most, half a year. At least, three months.”
His heart trembled as he spoke. The once vibrant young woman now had a limited time.
Love could be so terrifying.
Kevin would rather stay single for life.
“She’s like an apple, shiny outside but rotten inside,” Agatha remarked, a teardrop falling from her face.
Kevin was equally shaken. He had told Bradley that he was human, not a god. There was too much powerlessness
when faced with certain things.
“Let’s observe for now,” Kevin replied. “Dr. Foster, you’re a renowned physician. You must have a way to cure
Esther, right?”
Agatha smiled coldly and retorted, “You should ask Bradley that question.”
Esther wouldn’t have suffered this injustice if Bradley hadn’t abducted her.
Kevin fell silent.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAgatha sat and began to check Esther’s pulse. Her wrinkled face showed deep distress.
This was the fate of a child who had never felt a mother’s love.
‘Esther, you won’t face such things again in the future. If anyone dares to take you away, I’ll fight for you with all
my might,’ she swore inwardly.

Meanwhile, Felix sat on a chair outside the operating room, occasionally glancing at the smartwatch on his wrist.
‘It has been a long time. Why hasn’t Grandma Foster come out of the operating room yet?’ he wondered.
Felix looked at Jacob, who sat between him and Sunshine, and cried out tearfully, “Jacob.”
Jacob turned and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Felix seemed to have reached his limit as he burst into tears.
