Esther gazed up at Jasper, her beautiful eyes shimmering with tears. “But what?”
Jasper took a deep breath and spoke hoarsely. “According to the driver’s family and friends, the driver doesn’t drink
because he’s allergic to alcohol.”
“Why would he drink if he’s allergic to alcohol?” Esther’s suspicions about Bradley grew stronger. She still had
doubts about him.
“I’m not sure,” Jasper replied, his voice low.
Esther was equally uncertain. She didn’t want to suspect Bradley, but the evidence seemed to point in his direction.

Esther looked at Jasper, her eyes filled with tears, silently asking if he still believed it was an accident at that point.
“By the way, Esther, is it okay that you didn’t attend court today?” Jasper asked.
Esther nodded and replied softly, “It’s fine. We have enough evidence.”
After a moment of silence, she continued. “Even if we fail, it’s okay. We still have the future… I don’t want to be
involved with Bradley anymore.”
Jasper reached out to comfort Esther but hesitated halfway.
Kyle emerged from the ICU, and Esther and Jasper stood up simultaneously.
“Ms. Quill, I understand that my father was taking care of your son. Before coming here, I discussed it with my
mother and other family members. We want to take my father abroad,” Kyle said.
“Considering Clark’s current condition, he’s not fit to travel right now,” Esther said with concern.
“Ms. Quill, it’s true that my father isn’t fit for immediate departure. We’ll wait until the doctors say he’s ready to
leave before we go,” Kyle reassured.
“Alright,” Esther replied, a hint of sadness on her face. “I’ve made arrangements for your accommodations during
this time, and you can rest and adjust to the time difference.”
Kyle politely declined, “There’s no need to trouble you. My mother and I are just going to gather my father’s things.
My father has worked diligently for the Warners for most of his life, and now, he can finally reunite with us.
Although…”

“I’ll head back to get some fresh clothes for my father. See you around, Ms. Quill.”
“Alright, Kyle. If you need any help, feel free to reach out to me anytime.”
Esther wanted to do something for Clark. She could only find peace if she did something for him.
“If I need anything, I’ll contact you,” Kyle said before bowing slightly and leaving.
Esther watched Kyle walk away and remained silent for a long time. She had just considered what to say to Jasper
when her phone rang in her bag. She retrieved it and answered the call with great joy upon seeing the caller ID.
“Ms. Hill.”
On the other end of the call, Tanya’s voice was full of excitement. “Esther, congratulations. You’ve won the case—
your divorce from Bradley is successful!”
