Logan hadn't received any calls or messages from the other side for several days.
Esther felt a bit restless. She believed that if she and Logan found this large criminal group even a second later, it
could mean someone losing something precious or even their life in that one second.
She desperately wanted to catch this hidden criminal syndicate.
In contrast to Esther's anxiety, Logan seemed less agitated. He appeared almost like he was on vacation,
completely unruffled.
A nurse entered with a stack of consent forms and addressed Esther and Logan. "These are consent forms for the
surgery. You can take a look first, and the doctor will explain the details later."
"Are you saying I can undergo a kidney transplant?" Esther looked at the nurse in disbelief, finding it hard to fathom

The nurse chuckled. "Yes. Isn't this good news?"
Was it? Esther instinctively glanced at Logan.
Logan walked up to the nurse to take the consent forms and asked in a low voice, "When is the surgery?"
"Tomorrow morning. The prep starts at 10:00 a.m., and no food intake from now."
"Any other precautions we need to take?" Logan asked further.
"The doctor will explain the specifics regarding the surgery. You just need to prepare for the preoperation," the
nurse answered before leaving.
As soon as the nurse left, Esther couldn't contain her curiosity. "Logan, you..."
"I didn't."
Even though they were after X's data, Logan hadn't sent it. He wasn't sure why Esther suddenly qualified for
surgery.
Neither did Esther have a clue.
"I'll contact Grandaunt Agatha."
Logan called Agatha to inform her about the surgery.
Agatha rushed to the hospital in less than 20 minutes.
"I asked the hospital, and it seems a kind-hearted person donated a kidney," Agatha said in a hurry. "I looked into
the donor. She's a social media influencer."
Esther and Logan exchanged a glance. Nothing seemed coincidental at this critical juncture.
"Am I really going for the surgery?" Esther questioned.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLogan felt a splitting headache. He wasn't sure if this was a test from the other side. If it was a test, wouldn't it
mean a complete failure for their mission?
"The surgery can be performed," Agatha said as she sat across from Logan and Esther.
"Esther's medical history isn't entirely fabricated. I replaced a genuinely ill patient's records with Esther's. I can
arrange for her to enter the operating room, but the problem now is, where did this kidney come from?"
Logan asked, "So what happens to Esther now? Can the surgery be avoided?"
Esther thought about the wall she had seen earlier, an eerie and terrifying sight.
"I've sent someone to investigate the influencer's background," Agatha stated.
Logan and Esther were deeply engrossed in thought. Should they proceed with the surgery? Or should they avoid
it?
After a while, Logan's phone rang.
"Logan, check this link. The influencer is streaming live."
