Con She was in her night robe and stood at the balcony with her second cup of coffee. These things never did work on her.
It was past eleven, yet her beloved husband' was still not hSighing, she recalled how she had gotten married to him.
She and Kage had been sworn enemies from teenage hood. Then, when his grandfather died two years ago, it was discovered he willed over half of the company to Kage, but on the condition that he'd get married to Sylvie.
It was something neither of them could understand. And unfortunately, the old man wasn't around to clarify things.
Kage had wanted to forfeit the inheritance as he hated Sylvie enough to not get married to her, but his murn had worked really hard to make sure it happened. At that time, their company was on the verge of going bankrupt and Kage's mum offered to help them if they'd agr Considering how helpful it would be for her family, Sylvie had to agree. And the Hawkins valued a good name. Hence, she and Kage had to make the world think they had a perfect marriage.

She shivered slightly from how cold she felt outside. But she couldn't go in, not yet. She needed to see Kage and get the important information across. And this important information' had nothing to do with her father's request.
Initially, she wanted to keep it from him but decided it was useless. Every man deserved to know he was having a child, even he was an asshole.
"Now, why is she up so late?" A masculine voice hit her from behind.
She turned to find Ridge wearing his flirty smile.
"Not now, Ridge," she rolled her eyes, sipping from her coffee.
The young man stood beside her, staring into the vastness below.
"Thinking of something?" He asked in a tone that would've meant he cared. But Sylvie was no fool.
"When did it beca crto get sair?" *Or you're just bored. It's quite sad that a pretty lady like you has to spend her nights alone." "Spare me, Ridge.
"I've told you countlessly, Sylvic, I could help warm your bed. My cousin wouldn't even know well because..." he chuckled...he doesn't even care. Sylvie exhaled deeply, then swigged from her mug.
Ridge was pissed by her silence.
"Nothing to say?" Tm tired of speaking to an empty brain. Just letbe, she tuts Ridge was offended her by her words.
He grabbed her hand. "You must speak towith respect, lady Chapter 2 "Let go of me. This instant," she spoke between gritted teeth.
The gate man ran towards the gate, getting it open. Ridge released Sylvie's hand while she looked away to find Kage's cars driving in.
"Looks like your soon-to-be ex-husband is home," Ridge chuckled.
A while passed, then he mumbled "Just think about what I said anyway," and left.

Sylvie met up with Kage in the hallway. There was a maid in front of an him, carrying his briefcase and jacket. "Hi" Sylvie crossed her hands.
God, she hated that she was nervous before him. But the reason she had been up was to do as her father had thea requested. Even tho a part of bem knew the arrogant Kage Hawkins would never agree to it, she still needed to give it a try.. Kage gave her a head to toe look as he slackened her steps. The redness in his eyes indicated he had a few drinks - although he wasn't drunk. Only God knows where he had been. "What? Got bored flirting with my cousin?" His tone was clipped and impersonal.
Sylvie's face crumpled up in disgust. "What the... How can you just cup with such weird assumptions?" He passed her by without stopping.
"Hey, I need to talk to you," she sounded frustrated as she whipped in his direction.
"Save it. I'm tired. He kept walking.
Sylvie scoffed and shook her head in disbelief. Not that she had no idea she had harideal that the dickhead was incapable of such, it just baffled her each tshe had to deal with it.
