Out of the corner of her eye, she looked over at Verruckt’s desk. On the shelf behind him, she spotted a safe —

Her plan was to use that setup to make them trigger the alarm and draw the fire tomorrow.
As she was lost in thought, Verruckt’s phone suddenly rang. He barely glanced at the caller ID, but suddenly the
mood in the room shifted to something far more dangerous. “Got it,” he said shortly, ending the call with just
those two words.

Allison could sense the temperature dropping in the room, a chill creeping over her. Even without looking up, she

unbearable.

“Yes.” Allison nodded eagerly, a wide grin on her face, acting like a poor woman who had never seen such

subject. That meant it could be a golden opportunity for her.
