Lilly finished a meal of grilled beef skewers and felt completely satisfied. She casually took out a bottle of Sprite from her ring, which Zachary had secretly given her before she arrived. Soda with barbecue was truly a refreshing combination! "Ah..." Lilly sighed, feeling content. Although she came to this place alone, at least she had food. Grandma always said that as long as there was something delicious in this world... Well, life wasn't the worst.

Nonetheless, she had to continue cultivating after finishing her meal. So, she sat cross-legged and began to recall the scene of her battle with the demon beast earlier. Her golden substance was still operating too slowly. Towards the end, it couldn't supply her with the spirit energy she needed. So, she had to end the fight by releasing her seal on her elixir field before fleeing from the scene.

Was there any way to make the golden substance rotate faster? Lilly pondered for a moment, completely immersed in her elixir field. At this moment, she felt like she had entered the vast universe. There was a purple sea of stars floating before her.

However, a lone purple star was suspended right above the sea of stars—that was her purple golden substance.

The "star" in front of her was spinning as fast as it could go, gradually stripping away the spirit energy in the surrounding environment before converting and storing it in the elixir field. Then, her spirit energy would solidify onto the golden substance when her elixir field was maxed out.

When the elixir field was constantly filled, the spirit energy would envelop the golden substance layer upon layer. This was the source of her spirit energy.

"There seems to be an extra step..." Lilly looked at the elixir field, lost in thought. "Can | knead the elixir field into the golden substance?" She had a feeling that after obtaining the golden substance, its function was redundant with the elixir field. The elixir field operated the spirit energy, causing the spirit energy to reach her elixir field. Then, once her elixir field was full to the brim, her spirit energy would begin to envelop her golden substance. So, why couldn't it skip everything else and immediately envelop her golden substance? Lilly decided to merge the elixir field and the golden substance into one. She didn't know if this was the right call. Regardless, she had a hunch that it should be the right path for her to take.

The action-oriented Lilly fell quiet. Soon, only the sound of her calm breathing echoed in the cave.

Squeaky, having eaten and drunk more than its fill, lay on the ground with a full belly. Suddenly, it felt something was amiss.

When it rolled over, it quickly realized that Lilly had once again fallen into enlightenment.

Squeaky stared at the monster that was its young master in dismay.

What is this talent? Is falling into enlightenment as easy as drinking water nowadays? Even Speedy was confused. It had assumed that Lilly's enlightenment in the "Heavenly Court" was a rare occurrence. It had figured that it had to be related to the abundance of immortal clouds there. Alas, it had never been so wrong as she had entered enlightenment for the second time in such a short amount of time! What kind of monster was this child? Squeaky couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. So, it didn't dare to continue lazing about as it started to meditate and cultivate. Speedy had no choice but to roll over and follow suit.

Lilly had no idea how long she had been trying to blend her elixir field and golden substance. She had to admit that it was an incredibly difficult endeavor. She tried again and again. Alas, it refused to fuse into one.

She finally discovered the problem after careful analysis and deduction. If she wanted to blend the two, she had to break one of them apart. She could either choose to break the elixir field and wrap it around the golden substance before merging or shatter the golden substance and blend it into the elixir field.

In other words, she had to sacrifice one for the sake of getting a two-for-one deal.

Lilly felt a bit lost. She knew that shattering either the elixir field or the golden substance had never been done before. There were so many ghost cultivators in the underworld. The entire point of their hard cultivation was to gain their very own elixir field and golden substance. Yet, she had to break them? To make matters worse, she didn't know what the consequences of breaking the elixir field or golden substance would be. What if she made a mistake in her cultivation that would cost her everything? Lilly was caught in a difficult decision. Soon, she realized that if she was already afraid of failure before even starting, then she had already failed. Lilly made up her mind to give it her all.

She used Primordial Creation within her own elixir field and shattered it with her own hands! A tremendous pain suddenly assailed her senses, causing Lilly to let out a muffled groan. It felt as if her stomach was being torn apart. No, it was far worse than that, as this agony had somehow penetrated her soul! Lilly promptly broke out in a cold sweat, drenching her clothes. The intense pain made her tremble uncontrollably. Shortly after, she involuntarily curled up into a ball and fell to the ground with a silent thud.

Squeaky, who was cultivating with closed eyes but not actually in a meditative state, suddenly opened its eyes. "Squeak?" It hastily dashed to Lilly's side. Nevertheless, it knew better than to touch Lilly when she was in such a state. Speedy couldn't help but blurt anxiously, "What's going on? Has something gone wrong with her cultivation?" Squeaky anxiously circled Lilly, repeatedly trying to check just what was going on with its young master. Speedy was the first to understand what had happened due to its long experience being around Emperor Eastmount. Speedy had extended its spirit consciousness and tentatively ran it across Lilly's face, shoulders, and so on. It was afraid of missing even the slightest clue. So, it was being exceedingly careful with its examination. Soon, it exclaimed in astonishment, "Lilly's elixir field is shattered!" The small ghost beast felt as if its brain had exploded. No, its world had collapsed! Her elixir field was destroyed! That was an extremely serious injury for cultivators! After some ghost cultivators’ elixir fields were destroyed, they might even vanish forever.

It was uncertain whether they could continue to cultivate, let alone maintain their soul.

"Squeak!?" The small ghost beast became increasingly anxious. Was the young master injured during the battle with the demon beast just now? Or... was the skewered beef they ate poisonous?! Speedy responded promptly, "I will find the Black Dragon!" The small ghost beast nodded immediately. Indeed, they needed to locate the Black Dragon as she was their only source of support in this unfamiliar territory.

"You must keep an eye on the young master. | will search for her!" "If anything happens before | return, you must protect the young master,” Speedy agreed willingly. Even though it currently lacked a physical form, it could still offer some level of protection by surrounding Lilly with its spiritual body.

And so, Squeaky exited the cave and swiftly scurried towards the surface of the Nether.

Unfortunately, it was unaware of the precise whereabouts of the Black Dragon. It could only proceed in the direction it remembered and hasten towards the cliff where the Black Dragon was last spotted.
