Chapter 1356 Formal Apology
Olivia frowned. "He didn't tell you?"
"Nope."
"It's really true love, then," Olivia commented with a sigh.
Meanwhile, Halma looked slightly anxious. "Tell me quickly! What is it about?"
"If Nathan didn't say anything, why should I?" Olivia then continued, "Don't you think he
has become older and more responsible all of a sudden? Love really can make one grow
up."
Halma, however, didn't have time to listen to her sentiments. "Just say it! Do you want me
to make me so panicked that I die?"
Olivia glared at her. "Hmph! Is that how you speak to your aunt?"
Halma fell silent at that.
On the other hand, Olivia was entertained by this. "Halma, you have to call me Aunt Olivia
now, you know?"
"Do I get gifts then?" Halma asked, to which Olivia exclaimed, "You wish. How old are you?
Aren't you the one that is supposed to respect me?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHalma snorted. "You wish. You are younger than me, yet you want me to respect you?"
Olivia touched her face with a vain expression. "But I'm now ahead of you in terms of
seniority."
Halma was speechless and gave in. "Then Nathan and I will address you differently. He can
call you Aunt Olivia while you call me your older sister."
Olivia then questioned, "Why does that sound wrong?"
"Why?" Halma retorted. "Your son is my godson. Can you make your son address you
differently?"
Olivia argued, "Why should he do that? He still has to call me his mother no matter what.
Do you think you can confuse me?"
Halma couldn't help a smile. "Fine, fine. You're wearing me out. I'm also confusing myself
now."
Olivia laughed. "The Snows and the Bakers plotted together against Nathan. Nathan went
home straight away after you went back yesterday morning. He may have argued with his
parents, and then they divorced."
"Just because of Nathan?"
"Nathan's mother didn't know that his father plotted against Nathan and probably felt that
he went too far, so she divorced him in a fit of rage."
Halma murmured, "He didn't tell me anything, just that Eugene has helped resolve it. I
thought that it definitely wasn't serious."
"The Snows wanted Nathan to apologize online publicly and compensate them for the
losses incurred from the contract, which is why Eugene stepped in. Oh? What time is it?"
Olivia rummaged around frantically for her phone.
"Why?"
"Eugene made the Snows and Ace apologize publicly on the Internet. It may have already
started."
She had already unlocked her phone as she spoke. Fortunately, the live stream was still
going on, and she moved closer to watch it with Halma.
The people watching it had already shot past a hundred thousand, yet the view count
continued to rise. The three members of the Snow Family and Ace were broadcast on the
screen.
Finley was currently speaking. "I'm Finley Snow. The news of the marriage between the
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSmiths and the Bakers was masterminded by me and Ace, but Nathan has never agreed to
it from beginning to end. We only thought of doing this for the sake of the successful
marriage between our families and would like to officially apologize to him."
As soon as he finished speaking, the video cut off.
Comments popped up below the screen.
'What happened? Finley Snow is the chairman of the Snow Group, yet he's apologizing to
someone less senior than him?'
'What's so suspicious about that? Nathan definitely has evidence, or Finley wouldn't be so
obedient.'
'If someone treated me that way, I would definitely send him to jail, not just make him
apologize.'
'That father of his is horrible for cooperating. What does he think his son is? Some sort of
item?'
'Exactly! Nathan has a girlfriend and everything has to be consensual no matter how
outstanding the bride is. Is Lexie so desperate that she has to resort to such a disgusting
tactic to force marriage on him?'
'She can marry me. Lexie doesn't have to force me into it, though I'm deep in debt. I will
just have a little bit left if she helps me pay most of it, then we can live happily ever after!'
'You truly are something.'
