In a twist of fate that Heather could've never anticipated, the child managed to escape! "Go after him now!" She shrieked, her voice shrill with panic. "I'm telling you, if this gets out, we're both finished! Everett won't let us off the hook!" "I've got people out looking,” came the reply, the man's voice steady but strained. "But there's no word yet. I'll let you know if we find him." "No, not 'if', 'when'!" Heather snapped, her tone threatening.
The thought of Everett discovering her plot to kill the child left Heather cold. It would shatter the image she'd worked so hard to build. And if this man was investigated, every past misdeed could be traced, leaving her totally exposed.
That was something she simply couldn't allow. If necessary, she would make sure this man and the secret disappear from the world together.

How dare they try to attack while he's not fully awake yet! With that done, Langston checked his messages.
Kenneth had sent him countless messages, but he'd missed them all. Realizing he'd been gone for a few days now, he decided to put their minds at ease, puckering his lips and dialing Kenneth's number.
"Kenneth, come pick me up! I'm sending you my location.” After ending the call, Langston plopped down on a patch of grass, watching the fools on his tracker scramble around in search of him. They thought they could find him with infrared detectors. He chuckled to himself, having already blocked their signals.
Feeling playful, he drew a large tiger on his phone and sent it to their infrared detectors.
Soon, a frantic cry echoed not far off, "Shit! There's a large animal nearby, possibly a tiger! Run!" Langston snorted in amusement.
"Why are they scared of a tiger?" He then drew an even larger dinosaur.
If Kenneth hadn't arrived soon, those idiots might've thought they'd stumbled into a zoo, with lions, rhinos, and flying creatures all appearing on their infrared detectors.

Langston reluctantly stopped his mischief and sauntered over, "Kenneth." Once they were safe in the car and back in the city, Kenneth finally turned to look at the mischievous boy in the backseat. "Are you trying to give your mom a heart attack?" "No.
"Then why did you disappear without telling me? At least let me know so | can prepare!" Kenneth was both angry and worried.
Langston, however, looked calm and composed, sitting there like an adult.
"I needed to settle a score with my deadbeat dad. Once that was done, I'd contact you." Kenneth sighed in exasperation, "And how exactly did you plan on 'settling a score’ with him?" That was Everett, the CEO of the Lopez Corporation, not some playground bully.
Langston raised an eyebrow at Kenneth, "Why not? It's just the Lopez Corporation. | went to their office and implanted their computers with my virus."
