Chapter 158 What Do You Want?
Maia was worried when she saw Tess’s weakened state. She tried to struggle out of Theo’s grip and get to her.
“Aunt Tess, are you okay?”
Tess just shook her head at Maia as she looked at her. When the two men released her, Tess fell with a loud thud on the deck.
Maia cried out to Tess as she saw her collapse. Even though she was restrained, Maia still tried to get closer to Tess as she
continued to call out to her so that Tess would stay conscious.
“I didn’t expect you to have such a close relationship with Aunt Tess!” Theo commented with amusement as he smiled at them
cruelly.
“Theo, what do you want from us? Don’t forget that Aunt Tess is also your aunt!”
“It doesn’t matter what you say. You won’t be leaving here alive!” Theo laughed hysterically. “You’re out of your mind! Do you
think just because you’ve killed us, you’ll be able to get away with the funds you stole and get a chance to take over the
company?”
“You’re right, but if I don’t kill you, I would lose every chance I get! Besides, who would know if I really did it? I would just throw
you into the sea and there wouldn’t be any evidence!” Theo laughed smugly as he continued to polish his gun.
“Theo, how could you do this?” Tess struggled to sit up as she looked at her crazy nephew. She continued weakly, “We’re your
family. How could you lay hands on your own family? Don’t you have a conscience?”
“Conscience is worthless! I would do anything to obtain more money! Even if it means murder!” Theo walked closer to Tess and
gave her a kick
“Aunt Tess!” Maia shouted as she glared at Theo with hatred.
“Oh, Maia, don’t look at me like that. You’re next anyway!” Theo flashed a twisted smile. Next, he ordered his men to place them
into the large wooden boxes.
His men placed them roughly into the wooden boxes. At that moment, someone on the deck. shouted, “Look, there are so many
speedboats coming toward us!”.
“What?” Theo was surprised as he took the binoculars from his henchmen and double- checked. He was shocked to see more
than ten boats heading toward them!

All of a sudden, Maia felt Theo’s grip on her hair as he placed the gun behind her head.
“Stop moving, bitch!” Theo knew that he did not have enough time to get away. The only way he could escape now was to use
Maia as a hostage.
“Cedric, if you don’t want a bullet hole in Maia’s head, ask your men to stop!” Theo yelled.
The moment Cedric saw him pointing a gun toward Maia’s head, he instructed his men to stop their speedboats as he clenched
his fists in anger.
Theo smiled in triumph when he noticed the speedboats had stopped approaching them. “I didn’t expect you to love your ex–wife
so dearly! I wonder what’s so attractive about my cousin. Was it because she was good in bed?”
Baz could no longer continue to listen to Theo’s insolence as he yelled at him through a megaphone. “Theo, you should
surrender! You’re surrounded and can’t escape! Let Ms. Maia go, and we promise not to harm you!”
Theo laughed arrogantly as he replied, “I can’t escape? Don’t be ridiculous! As long as I have Maia, Cedric has no choice but to
listen to me. I can tell you want to kill me, but unfortunately, your dear wife’s life is in my hands!”
Cedric took over the megaphone and asked coldly, “Name your price.”
“Get me a speedboat with only the driver on it!”
Baz went to get it done right away. After a few minutes, a speedboat drove toward Theo’s boat.
When the speedboat got close enough to the boat, Theo instructed Baz to stop, “Stop here and jump off!”
Baz did not dare agitate Theo as he saw that he still had his gun against Maia’s forehead. He quickly followed Theo’s orders and
jumped off the speedboat.
When Theo was sure that Baz was far away enough, he instructed Maia to get on the speedboat.
With the intention of stalling for time, Maia pretended that it was difficult to get over the rail
of his boat.
Theo was getting impatient. “Hurry up!”
“I’m trying. I don’t have much strength left in me, and if anything happens now, do you think Cedric will still cooperate?” For some
reason, she was not afraid of Theo even though she had a gun pointing at her.
When she finally managed to climb over the rail, she looked up toward Cedric before jumping onto the speedboat.
In that split second, a gunshot was heard, and Theo was shot.
