Chapter 50 The Womanizer
Arthur's expression darkened, and he said, “We're not divorced yet. You shouldn't be living separately from me.”
Charlotte replied, “Please, it’s really scary living with a stranger.”
Arthur fell silent.
Standing by the car, he fixed his intense
gaze on her, and for sreason, Charlotte felt a chill.
She thought, “Is he serious?
Is he angry about me?
How could he be so temperamental?”

She shrank, saying, “Arthur, can | have sprivate space? Maybe one day, when my memory comes back, I'll
just cback on my own.”
She said so, but in her mind, she thought, “That's not going to happen!”
Hearing this, the coldness in Arthur's eyes gradually faded. He spoke softly, “There’s an event at Julius’s
kindergarten tomorrow. You need to go.”
Charlotte blinked and asked, “Can | skip it?”
Arthur's tone turned icy. “You can skip it, but you'll need to wire two hundred million dollars to my account. Oh,
and don’t forget the taxes.”
Charlotte fell silent.

She thought, “He’s really annoying.
Not only am | being forced to pay two hundred million dollars in compensation, but now | have to pay taxes as
well. How could he be so greedy?
Where can | get that two hundred million dollars to him?”
“I'll go.”
Though her mind was filled with
dissatisfaction, Charlotte forced a smile
onto her face.
Arthur closed the car door and walked briskly into Rose Villa.
Back at Starlight Terrace, Charlotte collapsed onto the couch, feeling utterly
despondent.
She didn’t know how she could possibly escape her current predicament.
She had thought that by pretending to have amnesia, forgetting everyone, Arthur would agree to the divorce,
especially since his true love had already returned.
But now it seemed she had overestimated her situation.
She didn’t expect that Arthur didn’t want a divorce, nor did he want to let go of his lover.
Charlotte felt confused.
She couldn’t understand why he did that. After all, he didn’t love her!

She rolled over and sent a message to her friends in the group chat, expressing her confusion.
Evie replied: [Because men are all womanizers. They like to find mistresses. If | were a man, I'd be enjoying
myself too.]
Diana: [Sarah is just a girl from an ordinary family. Although she’s achieved a lot in ballet, she doesn’t deserve to
be Arthur's wife.]
Evie: [Don’t try to find him an excuse. He's just a womanizer.]
Reading Diana's response, Charlotte paused for a moment, then her gaze
darkened.
She thought, “So that’s what it is.”

In a wealthy marriage, status, and background were everything. The

Hardwick family was a little beneath the Harrison family, but they were still an acceptable match.
But Sarah... She was just a simple small-town girl with an ordinary background.
Even if Arthur wanted to marry her, the Harrison family would never approve.
It turned out that her current identity had beca kind of shackling burden.
The kindergarten event was in the
afternoon. Charlotte called Arthur to ask

She reminded herself to stay in character. She couldn't expose herself before the divorce!
When she arrived at the kindergarten, she saw the large playground already set up.
Parents were sitting in the audience while the kids performed on stage.
Sread poems, others sang, sdanced...
The children were all so talented.
Charlotte quickly spotted Arthur in the front row. He was wearing a black suit, his short hair neatly styled. He
exuded an aloof, distant air, and every movement reflected an aristocratic grace.

to cwhen the woman he loved was already there.
Charlotte turned to leave.
“Charlotte.”
Just then, Arthur's deep, magnetic voice
rang out from behind her.
